With the increasing shortage of conventional feed, the development and utilization of unconventional feed has attracted people’s attention. In this experiment, nutritional values in bamboo leaves(fresh leaves and fallen leaves)and poplar leaves(fallen leaves)were studied as fourage to dairy cow(silage corn as control),using CNCPS system,NRC model(2001)and the rumen nylon bag method have been evaluated for their nutritional value. The aim was to provide basic data for the utilization of bamboo leaves and poplar leaves in the ruminant breeding industry, thereby alleviating the shortage of roughage and reducing the cost of raising. This study mainly includes two parts.1.Analysis of nutritional value of bamboo leaves and poplar leavesThe analyzed samples included fresh bamboo leaves, poplar leaves and silage corn.First, the nutrient composition of the sample was determined according to the conventional nutrient analysis method;then the digestible nutrient and energy value of the sample were evaluated by the NRC(2001)model;finally,the protein component and the carbohydrate component of the sample are segmented by the CNCPS system. The results showed that: 1)The crude protein(CP)content and neutral detergent fiber(NDF)content of fresh leaves of bamboo were significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),and the non-protein nitrogen(NPN)content was comparable to that of silage corn, and the difference was not significant(P>0.05),the content of neutral detergent insoluble protein(NDICP)was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05);the content of CP,NDF,EE and NDICP in leaves of bamboo was significantly higher than that in silage corn(P<0.05);The content of fibrous carbohydrate(NSC)was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),and the content of NDICP was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),but the content of acidic washing insoluble protein(ADICP)was also the highest;2)fresh leaves of bamboo The content of slow-degrading protein(PB3)and fast-degrading carbohydrate(CA)were significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),and slow-degrading carbohydrate(CB2)was significantly higher than silage corn(P<0.05),while fresh bamboo leaves The content of non-degradable protein(PC)and non-degradable carbohydrate(CC)was also significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05).3)The true digestible crude protein(td CP)of fresh bamboo leaves was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),and the content of true digestible neutral detergent fiber(td NDF)was comparable to that of silage corn(P>0.05).The td CP content of Phyllostachys chinense L.was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05).The difference between true digestible fatty acid(td FA)content and silage corn was not significant(P>0.05),td NDF content was significantly higher than silage corn(P<0.05);The content of true digestible non-fibrous carbohydrate(td NFC)in leaves was significantly higher than that in silage corn(P<0.05),and the total digestible nutrient of bamboo leaves and poplar leaves were significantly lower than silage corn(P<0.05).2.Study on Rumen Degradation Characteristics of Bamboo Leaves and Poplar LeavesIn this experiment, three healthy Holstein cattle with permanent rumen fistula were selected as experimental animals.Weighing accurately 7 g of sample into nylon bag, repeat each sample 3 times, then put bags into the rumen of three cows and adopt the method of “putting at the same time and taking out separately”.Namely the bags were taken out after 2,4,8,12,24,36,48,and 72 h respectively. The bags teken out were rinsed with tap water until the water was clarified and then dried in a 65 ° C oven for 48 hours. The indexes of CP,DM,NDF and ADF were measured using the residue in bags.According to the measured data, the rumen degradation parameter was calculated by computer model. The results showed that: 1)The degradation rate(Kd)of fresh bamboo leaves and bamboo leaves was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),the content of potential non-degradable components(U)was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),and the effective degradation rate of DM.It was also significantly lower than silage corn(P<0.05);the Kd of poplar leaves was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05),and the retention time(T0)and DM effective degradation rate were significantly higher than silage corn,p otential degradable components. The content of(D)was comparable to that of silage corn, and the difference was not significant(P>0.05).2)The content of rumen non-degradable protein(RUCP)and potential degradable protein component(D)in fresh bamboo leaves was significantly higher than that in silage corn(P<0.05);T0 and soluble components(S)and silage corn in deciduous leaves of bamboo There was no significant difference(P>0.05),the content of RUCP was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05);the content of deciduous D in poplar was significantly higher than that in silage corn(P<0.05),and the content of U was significantly lower than that in silage corn(P<0.05),the RUCP content was also significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05).3)The D content of NDF and ADF in fresh leaves of bamboo were not significantly different from that of silage corn(P>0.05),RUNDF and RUADF were significantly lower than silage corn(P<0.05);Kd of bamboo leaves NDF was significantly higher than silage corn, but ADF The Kd content was significantly lower than that of silage corn(P<0.05).The U content of NDF and ADF was significantly higher than that of silage corn(P<0.05).The effective degradation rates of NDF and ADF were significantly lower than that of silage corn(P<0.05).The D content of poplar leaves NDF and ADF was similar to that of silage corn(P>0.05),EDNDF was significantly lower than silage corn, and EDADF was not significantly different from silage corn(P>0.05).In summary, the experiment draws the following conclusions:(1)The content of CP in fresh leaves and leaves of Phyllostachys pubescens is high, but the proportion of rumen slow-degrading protein is large, the utilization rate is not high;the content of NDF and td NDF is high,so there is potential to replace some roughage of dairy cows as fibrous feed.(2)The content of crude protein in poplar leaves is low,the proportion of non-degradable protein is large, the content of NDF is low and the content of ligni n is high, but the content of td NFC is high, which has advantages in providing energy. |
