Pistacia chinensis is a unique native tree species in China and it has an important value in landscape architecture.To discover the grovth and pigment content of Pistacia chinensis with different nutrition proportion fertilizers as well as find the technique of fertilization which is suitable for its growth and leaf color variation,this study contains two modules including pot planting and field trial.Seedlings were planted with different NPK ratio and concentration fertilizers in terms of pot planting module.They were also fertilized by three kinds of base manures including fowl manure,compound fertilizer and garden waste fertilizer with three different concentrations concerning the field trial module.The aim of this study was to find which NPK ratio and which kind of base manure and relative concentration was helpful to the growth and leaf color of Pistacia chinensis at the first year outplanting.The main conclusions were as follows:(1)When the concentration of garden waste fertilizer reached 20%,Pistacia chinensis was at the best growth with 123.375cm in seedling height,14.2567mm in root collar diameter.Besides,biomass,nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium were 86.6927g per seedling,982.33 mg per seedling,170.79,884.43mg per seedling,and 86.6927g per seedling respectively.(2)When the fowl manure reached 200 g per seedling,the above indexes were at the second best,that was 123cm,11.88mm,95.448g per seedling,178.12 mg per seedling and 944.41 mg per seedling,which were significantly higher than other treatments.(3)The growth of all treatments within ratio fertilization experiment were better than control.This study showed that N was of vital importance to the overall growth of Pistacia chinensis as the growth with NPK ratio 3:1:2 and 3:2:1 were better than that with ratio 1:1:1.Seedlings with higher NPK ratio 3:2:1 and fertilizer concentration 7.5g per seedling were at the best growth.Respectively speaking,the height,root collar diamenter and biomass increases 114.30%?53.89%?163.83%than those of control.(4)Under the influence of higher N concentration fertilizers,the Anthocyanin content was at a relatively low level while the Chlorophyll was higher so that the leaf color was green.Under the influence of lowest N concentration,the leaf color tended to red with relatively high Anthocyanin.Among all these three ratio fertilizers,the Anthocyanin content reached highest at fertilizer concentration 7.5g per seedling,the Chlorophyll content reached highest at 22.5g per seedling.This also showed that lack of N can bring more Anthocyanin,while the higher N concentration,the more Chlorophyll.
