Bast fiber mulch film is a new kind of plant fiber mulch developed in China,which has great application prospect.Watermelon(Citrullus lanatus)is an important economic horticultural crop of fruits.It is an annual vine herbaceous plant of cucurbitaceae,and is widely loved by people.In order to study on the effect of film mulching and irrigation amount on yield and quality of protected horticulture watermelon,this experiment under the condition of drip irrigation in the greenhouse cultivation,We set up two types of film mulching:black plastic mulch(F1),white bast fiber mulch film(F2),three different kinds of water treatment:standard irrigation(W,),2/3 amount of standard irrigation(W2),1/2 amount of standard irrigation(W3);The watermelon was treated at the shoot vines,flowering and expanding stage and the swelling stage,combined with the analysis of relevant growth,physiological,biochemical and quality indexes,the combination of film mulching and irrigation water was obtained,which provided theoretical basis and guidance for the cultivation of watermelon covered with film mulching.The effects of different film mulching and irrigation amount on plant main vine length,main stem diameter and internode length of watermelon plant showed no significant rule.The growth rates of main vine length,main stem diameter and internode length were the highest in the seedling stage-extension vine stage,extension vine stage-flowering and fruiting stage;Under the same mulching condition,the leaf area of watermelon at flowering stage was positively correlated with the amount of irrigation water.SPAD value was the largest in the flowering stage.Under the same mulching condition,the less irrigation water,the higher the relative conductivity of watermelon leaves,and F1W3 and F2W3 were the largest.The effects of different film mulching and irrigation amount on the weight per melon in spring were not obvious.The weight per melon of F2W2 treatment was the largest,reaching 1382.78g,and the yield was 139.37t/ha.The fruit shape index was between 1.17 and 1.24,and the fruit was nearly oblong.The effects of different film mulching and irrigation amount on the soluble solids content in the center and edge of watermelon were not obvious.The effects of different film mulching and irrigation amount on the growth rate of watermelon main vine length,main stem diameter and internode length in autumn were similar to those in spring.SPAD value was the highest at flowering stage.Under the same film mulching condition,the relative conductivity of the leaves was negatively correlated with the amount of irrigation water,among which F1W2 was the smallest.In the flowering stage,the activity of peroxidase in watermelon leaves was the largest under the treatment of F2W,.The weight per melon in autumn was the largest in the treatment of F2W2,reaching 1403.33g.The effects of different film mulching and irrigation amount on the longitudinal section diameter and cross section diameter in autumn were not obvious,among which F2W2 had the largest longitudinal section diameter and cross section diameter,and the fruit shape index of all treated watermelon was between 1.26 and 1.45.Under different mulching conditions,the soluble solids content of watermelon in autumn treated with the same irrigation water content was shown as plastic mulching film>bast fiber mulching film,namely CK,F,W2 and F,W3 fruits had the highest soluble solids content.Comprehensive analysis:F2W2:bast fiber mulching film +2/3 amount of standard irrigation,which can be used as the cultivation mode of watermelon in Wuhan in spring.F1W2:plastic mulching film +2/3 amount of standard irrigation,F2W2:bast fiber mulching film +1/2 amount of standard irrigation can be used as the cultivation mode of watermelon in Wuhan in autumn.
