Climate change poses significant threats to food security and by association the economic growth and development of many countries, especially those most vulnerable to severe weather conditions. This paper investigates the adoption of drip irrigation by farmers in Grenada using primary survey data.I first explore the current participation decisions in drip irrigation using a binary logit model. The results indicate that farmers who live in parishes with more banks or those who cultivate more water-intensive crops are more likely to have already adopted drip irrigation.Secondly,a choice experiment is conducted to examine the determinants that could attract non-participants to adopt drip irrigation using a conditional logit model. The results suggest that as units of interest and collateral are increased,it becomes a deterrent to switch from traditional irrigation methods to drip irrigation;however farmers are incentivized to switch as water and labor savings are increased.
