Land resources are the indispensable material basis for human agricultural production and life, and the most important survival basis for carrying forward the development of human society. The soil organic matter content is an important attribute of land resources.Increasing the soil organic matter content can produce higher yield on the land with valuable cultivation and more efficient use of cultivated land resources. Therefore, this study aims to demonstrate the spatial variability and influencing factors of soil organic matter content in different soil types under different soil types in Datong City,Shanxi Province,to achieve efficient use of soil fertility, and to further guide the development of Datong organic dry farming and precision fertilization. This study studied the spatial variability of different types of soil organic matter by combining GIS and geostatistical methods in the whole range of Datong City and seven major soil types in Datong City.Three main semi-variance function model parameters(exponential model, spherical modol,Gaussian mondel),from which the best fitting model is selected, and the best fitcing numodel is used for spatial interpolation mapping, and the organic matter content interpolation results at two different scales are compared. To analyze the main influercing factors of spatial variability in soil oruanic matter content. The research shows that the average value of organic matter content in different soil types in Datong City;chestnut soil>fluvo-aquic soil>cinnamon soil>coarse soil>chestnut soil>aeolian sandy soil>salt soil;comparison of organic matter content variation degree:cinnamon soil:>flush soil>chestnut Calcium>chestnut cinnamon>saline soil>coarse soil>aeolian soil;spatial autocorrelation comparison of organic matter content:coarse soil>chestnut soil>aeolian soil>saline soil>cinnamon soil>fluvo-aquic>chestnut soil; The relevant range is:cinnamon soil>coarse soil>chestnut soil>chestnut soil>fluvo-aquic soil>aeolian sandy soil>saline soil;comparison of random variation degree of different soil types:aeolian sandy soil>fluvo-aquic soil>coarse soil>cinnamon soil>chestnut Cinnamon soil>chestnut soil>salt soil;total variation degree comparison:coarse soil>cinnamon soil>aeolian soil>chestnut soil>tidal soil>chestnut soil>salt soil. The main reason for this difference is that different soil types have different fitting models.Selection of sampling points and human activity factors. The influencing factors of spatial variability of organic matter content can be seen that the average soil organic matter content in Datong Mountain,Hilly and Plain areas is 14.21 g/kg,12.54 g/kg,12.27 g/kg,respectively.The highest is the lowest in the plain area, while the average soil organic matter content in the cultivated area of Datong City is 12.46 g/kg,which is lower than the average organic matter content of Datong County at 12.69 g/kg.It can be seen that soil type is an important factor affecting the spatial variability of soil organic matter content.Elevation and topography, and agricultural tillage factors will also have certain effects on spatial variability of organic matter. This study can improve Datong City.Provide evidence for soil fertility, precision fertilization, and improvements in agricultural production practices.
