The Diagnosis And Cases Analysis Of The Canine Distemper In Urumqi

Canine distemper(Canine Distemper,CD)is a serious infectious disease,which is a canine distemper virus infecting dogs and susceptible animals to cause them died.Canine distemper has the characteristics of high infectiousness and high mortality.In order to explore the incidence situation of canine distemper in Urumqi(hereinafter referred to as "Urumqi"),the author collected cases from three animal hospitals in Urumqi,diagnosed canine distemper by laboratory tests,analyzed the data,extracted Virus and deeply understood the status quo of the prevention and treatment to diagnosis the canine distemper and analysis cases in Urumqi,for reducing the incidence of canine distemper.In this study,CDV antigen detection of dog with Clinical symptoms suspected canine distemper was carried out in three animal hospitals of Urumqi(Animal Center Hospital of Xinjiang Agricultural University,Chongle Youjia Animal Hospital and Xinlong Pet Clinic).For the dogs that CDV antigens are showing negative,which samples are collecting for the detection of electron microscopy and RT-PCR.The dogs are testing for positive CDV antigen,and their samples are collecting for the detection of electron microscopy to understand the treatment process and the results.For the dead dog by the dog owner after the consent,we carry out pathological dissection and make paraffin sections of pathological organization.Research result:(1)Common cases of canine distemper in Urumqi are golden retrievers,teddy dogs,the Chinese rural dogs.Except Jan,Feb and Sep,dogs can suffer from distemper all the year.Dogs of all ages,which are not immune or insufficiently immune,have high infection rates.In the clinical 48 cases,there are 24 canine distemper cases of pneumonia type,with 80% cure rate.Secondly,there are 12 canine distemper cases of pneumonia and nerve mixed type,with 0 cure rate,this mixed canine distemper from a single type gradually gets into the nerve type,once the neurological symptoms appear,mortality rate is 100%.(2)Electron microscopy and RT-PCR diagnosis results show that the diameter of canine distemper virus particles is among 130-330 nm.The size of CDV RT-PCR production is about 567 bp,which matches with expected results.(3)In three typical cases of canine distemper cases,two canine distemper cases of pneumonia type are treated after 19 days and 22 days using the CDV kit to detect the antigen that shows negative,a canine distemper case of pneumonia appears neurological symptoms after the treatment of 13 days,autopsy after euthanasia finds that the lungs,brain and heart are severely damaged,then make paraffin sections of pathological organization,microscopically shows the results of interstitial pneumonia,cerebral pulp spheroid degeneration and myocardial hemorrhage.Conclusion: In this study,clinical and laboratory diagnosis are used to identify canine distemper.Treating canine distemper can take a long time,even if the sick dogs are treated,they will be also very likely to become neurological symptoms.Because the treatment of canine distemper is targeted and the cost of treatment is high,many owners give up treatment after the diagnosis,which brings some problems to the study of the later disease process.
