Weibei Arid Plateau belongs to the apple eugenic zone with low annual precipitation and large evaporation. The majority farmers neglected the reasonable ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in fruit production and lacked overall understanding of nutrient absorption in apple trees, resulting in declining tree vigor, reduced yield, and decreased quality, which have seriously affected the development of the apple industry. In this paper, based on the six-year-old Red Fuji apple?Nagafu No.2/M26/Malus sieversii?materials, according to different phenophase nutrient demand patterns, through setting up different fertilizer and water ratios and ground cover tests.Researched fertilizer and water suitable indicators for dry apple orchards. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.Effect of fertigation technology on the growth of fruit trees:Comparing fertigation technology coverage and clear tillage treatment with the control, the fruit setting rate was increased by 8%and 4%,new shoots growth increased by 20%and 18%,the chlorophyll SPAD value was increased by 2.3%and 2.9%,and the average 100 leaves weight was separately increased 7.4%and 9.9%,average leaf area increased by 1.3%and 1.1%,net photosynthetic rate increased by 2.4%and 9.8%,leaf nitrogen increased by 10.5%and 6%,leaf phosphorus increased by 6%and 7.1%.The potassium content in leaves increased by22.1%and 34.1%.This shows that the fertigation technology can promote the growth of new shoots, increase the leaf area, and increase the apple tree's nutritional level.2?Effect of fertigation technology on apple fruit quality:The fertigation technology can improve apple's quality and increase yield.Comparing fertigation technology coverage and clear tillage treatment with the control, the fruit hardness increased by 2.2%and 0.7%,the Vc content increased by 39.5%and 31.7%,the soluble solids increased by 1.8.%and 3%,mean fruit weight increased by 7.8%and 14%respectively,average yield per hectare increased by8%and 16%,PFP increased by 66%and 78.3%respectively,fruit nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content fluctuate,The fruit shape index generally remained at around 0.81.3?Quality-improving effect of orchard coverage on apple production:Compared with clear-tillage treatments, fruit setting rate increased by 7.87%,apples tree shoot growth increased by 21%,chlorophyll content increased by 2%,average 100 leaves weight increased by 6.6%,and leaf area increased by 3.2%,net photosynthetic rate?stomatal conductance?intercellular CO2 concentration and transpiration rate increased by 9.98%,22.22%,1.47%,and 11.23%respectively,apple fruit hardness,solid-acid ratio, and Vc content increased by3.5%,7.7%,and 22.8%,respectively;The contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in fruits and leaves increased to varying degrees;the yield per mu increased by 16%and increased by 1,380 yuan.4?The best fertilizer and water ratio screening:Through comprehensive analysis,it was found that many indicators of FT5 coverage treatment performed well, and some indicators showed the best.Comparison of FT5 coverage treatment with coverage control and clear tillage control, the average 100 leaves weight increased by 12.9%and 23.2%,leaf area increased by 2.6%and 5.7%,stomatal conductance increased by 12.9%and 20.7%,leaf nitrogen content increased by 14.3%and 13.1%,leaf potassium content increased by 38.6%,respectively.And 76%,soluble solids were increased by 3.7%and 8.3%,mu yield was11.05%and 38.3%,PFP increased by 122%and 176%,respectively.Which was a direct increase of nearly 2860 yuan per 667 m2 compared with the traditional cleaning tillage fertilization methods. Therefore, the FT5 cover treatment is the most suitable fertilizer and water ratio development in dry apple orchards.
