Study Of The Daily Behavior Of Lactating Cows Under The Practical Production Conditions

n this paper,the different types of each 7 dairy cows were observed by manual record for 5 consecutive days.A total of ten daily behaviors were observed in the involved dairy cows,including the milking,feeding,drinking,stall lying,stall standing,playground lying,playground standing,alley standing,body brushing and salt licks.The study discussed the regularity in daily behavior between different groups of cows.Thus,providing reliable reference resource to improve the feeding management technology and production level of lactating cows.This paper consists of three experiments.Experiment 1: Studing the differences in daily behavior of multiparous cows in different lactation periods.Experiment 2 :Studing the differences in daily behavior of primiparous cows between early and mid lactation.Experiment 3 :Studing the differences in daily behavior between high-yielding primiparous and high-yielding multiparous cows.And each experiments contain two parts.Part1: Comparing the frequency and time between each group cows of daily behaviors.Part2: Comparing the proportion of daily behaviors time budget between each group cows.Part3: The frequency and time of lying were compared in different groups of cattle during the peak period of lying;The frequency and time of feeding were compared in different groups of cattle during the peak period of feeding.We concluded under the practical production conditions,for cows in different lactation period and parity,the character of feeding,drinking,lying,standing behaviour,etc.The results have guiding significance to the dairy cattle raising.
