In view of the shortage of water resources in lowland plain area of Hebei Province,planting low water consumption crops and efficient water-saving irrigation have become the only way to develop agriculture in this area.With the National Ministry of Agriculture "grain to feed" policy continues to deepen and Hebei Province Water Conservancy Department water Saving pressure production plan concrete implementation,as a high quality forage crop with low water consumption,whole-plant silage maize can meet the requirement of delaying the planting time brought by the oil sunflower of crop rotation crops,and the purpose of saving agricultural water and increasing economic benefit.The silage maize gradually become an important component of planting structure in low plain area.Through field experiment and pot experiment of silage maize,the water content,water consumption,agronomic characters and yield of different varieties and different water treatment were measured,the effect of different treatment on each index was analyzed,and the moisture consumption regularity of silage maize during whole growth period was analyzed with the dynamic change of soil water,The applicability of silage maize cultivars was evaluated with water production efficiency as the main index.The results of comprehensive analysis are as follows:In the field test under no irrigation conditions,the soil moisture content and the dynamic variation amplitude of the longitudinal soil layer in the 0-80 cm have obvious60-80 cm,and there is almost no change in the stratum.From the view of water consumption,there are significant differences between different varieties,the water consumption of Jinzhu 100 is up to 332 mm,Jinling 17 water consumption is at least319 mm,the maximum water consumption difference can reach 4.08%.From the output,different varieties also have great differences,Aoyu Silage 5102 fresh weight yield is the highest,for 6826.2kg per mu,the largest difference between varieties can reach 41.4%.From the view of water production efficiency,the 5102 is the relatively optimal variety,53.8% higher than the lowest varieties Dika 667,the difference between varieties is extremely remarkable.In pot experiment of controlling different upper and lower irrigation limits,the change trend of soil moisture content under different water treatment is basically consistent.In the whole growth period of potted maize silage water consumption change rule: heading stage>jointing stage> seedling stage> maturing stage.The water consumption decreasedwith the decrease of soil moisture content.The minimum water treatment in W1 was356 mm,the difference was 12.6% with the maximum water consumption,which was significant.The highest yield is W2 moisture treatment of silage 5102,the highest water production efficiency is W1 water treatment of Hongrui 101.In pot experiment,the two factors controlling the variety and water treatment of silage maize carried out had significant influence on agronomic characters of silage maize.The cross effect between the two factors exists only in the analysis of the plant height of heading stage,the plant weight and plant height of maturing stage,which has no effect on the leaf area.The analysis of variance shows that the highest plant is Jinzhu100 in W3 treatment,the largest leaf area and the weighest plant are Silage 5102 in W2 treatment.The optimum soil moisture content of silage corn in low plain area of Hebei Province was 55-70% and the best variety of applicability was Aoyu Silage 5102.It was suggested that planting should be carried out in a large area on the experimental land.
