Grassland is the largest ecological system in China.Xinjiang is one of the “five pastoral areas” in China and has abundant natural grassland resources.In recent years,due to the fragile local ecological background,imperfect grassland management system,and increased intensity of human disturbance,the local grass-animal conflict has become increasingly acute and the ecological environment has become increasingly deteriorating.Changji Prefecture is one of the major livestock production areas in northern Xinjiang.Land degradation and desertification and nuisance caused by pests and diseases caused by irrational land use have threatened the local ecological security and seriously restricted the development of local animal husbandry.Based on existing references,there is little research on grassland health assessment in the region.This paper takes the scientific evaluation of grassland health status in Changji prefecture as the research objective,using remote sensing and non-remote sensing data of Changji prefecture in July 2000-2016 as the data source,combining 3S technology with Changji prefecture?s ecological background and socioeconomic conditions to select 20 indicators to construct grassland health assessment system of Changji prefecture based on PSR model.After the scientific evaluation of the basic conditions of Changji grassland,the grassland health changes in Changji Prefecture and its subordinate counties and cities were further analyzed from the spatial,temporal scale,and change trends.Research indicates:(1)In the grassland health evaluation system,the weight ratios of the stress layer,the state layer and the response layer are 0.185,0.750 and 0.065,respectively,of which the state layer has the largest weight.(2)Based on the time scale,the study found that the Changji Grassland Health Index fluctuated between 0.12375 and 0.82963 from 2000 to 2016.The standard deviation of health index experienced a period of first increase and then decrease until the final slow decline,It shows that the level of grassland in Changji County increased first and then decreased slowly and finally.Based on the overall situation,the level of grassland health in Changji County showed a slight downward trend.(3)Based on the spatial scale study,the grassland health in Changji County showed a trend of low height from south to north,and the health status of grassland increased with altitude,the area occupied by the areas of "high health level","healthy level","sub-healthy level","lower health level" and "low health level" were 3.31%,29.21%,38.35%,27.67% and 1.46%.(4)Based on the research on the changing trend of the grassland health level in Changji Prefecture and its subordinate counties and cities,it was found that the grassland health in Changji City,Fukang City,Jimsar County and Qitai County improved,Manas County The health status of grasslands in Hutubi County and Mulei County has deteriorated.Based on the overall situation,the grassland health level of Changji County has slightly decreased.A comprehensive study of the state and its subordinate counties and cities found that,regardless of time,spatial scale,or trend analysis and research,the characteristics of changes reflected in different regions are closely related to the actual situation of local social and humanities,and generally follow the pattern of low altitude and high altitude.The division pattern above the low-altitude area is worth noting that as of 2016,the level of grassland health in the whole state showed a slight downward trend,but the gap is small but still need to increase control,defense intensity and stop-loss.
