The application of film-mulching techniques in cotton cultivation greatly improves cotton yield,increases cotton farmers 'economic income,improves cotton farmers' living standards and promotes regional economic development.However,perennial cotton fields,combined with the residual membrane cannot be effectively recovered,a large number of residual membrane remaining in the soil.The residual film destroyed the soil tillage structure,affected the circulation of water and nutrients,blocked the development of cotton root system and decreased the cotton yield,forming extremely serious "white pollution",which has endangered the sustainable development of farmland ecosystem.With the pollution of residual film gradually recognized by all walks of life,it has become a consensus to curb the white pollution of farmland.Various measures to control white pollution are under way.Yu Shusun,a Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,started a pilot project of filmless cotton cultivation in Shaya County,southern Xinjiang.Some achievements have been made.It is verified that in the southern part of Xinjiang in Xinjiang where the effective accumulated temperature is high,the frost-free period is long and irrigation is ensured,Feasibility.However,due to the large climatic differences in various regions of Xinjiang,especially in the main producing areas of northern cotton,cotton does not have the prerequisite for film-free cultivation.Film mulching in cotton fields is still an inevitable choice for farmers.In this context,the effective recovery of cotton cover film or the use of degradable plastic film has become an important means of white pollution control in cotton fields in Xinjiang,especially in northern Xinjiang.As an integrated demonstration area for white pollution control in Autonomous Region and Shawan County,the research institutes and enterprises such as Cotton Institute of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Shihezi Shifeng Plastic Products Co.,Ltd.were introduced in Sidaohezi Town to carry out experiments and popularization of different types of plastic film technology.Therefore,we choose three types of mulch film,0.008 mm,0.01 mm and biodegradable film,used in cotton cultivation in the four-lane Hezi town.Based on cost-benefit analysis theory,the effects of different types of mulch on farmer's cotton planting profit are analyzed,To study the cost-benefit composition of cotton mulching with different types of mulching film and to analyze the reasons for the differences.The comprehensive benefits of different types of plastic mulching film were evaluated through the combination of AHP method and fuzzy evaluation,in order to find out the different types of mulching film in comprehensive benefits There are comparative advantages and room for improvement,so as to put forward the corresponding policy recommendations for the existing problems.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The yield per mu of cotton planted with degradable film was significantly lower than that of the other two kinds of common film.The average production cost of cotton with degradable mulching film was 1387.6 yuan,slightly higher than that of cotton with 0.008 mm and 0.01 mm mulching film.According to the seed cotton yield after mulching,the seed cotton yield with 0.008 mm mulching film was 420 kg,The seed cotton yield was 425 kg for the mulch film,which was almost the same,while the seed cotton yield for the degradable film was 335 kg,about 20% less than for the other two types of mulch.After considering the cost,the profit per mu for using degradable mulch film was 689.4 yuan,554.6 yuan and 581.7 yuan less than that of 0.008 mm and 0.01 mm mulch respectively.(2)The comprehensive evaluation of different types of plastic film showed that the 0.01 mm plastic film,0.008 mm plastic film and degradable plastic film score were 71.94,69.59 and 66.22,respectively.Under the current technical conditions is 0.008 mm film,biodegradable film,and biodegradable film has greater room for growth.According to the comparative analysis results,some countermeasures and suggestions on how to control white pollution are put forward:(1)Strengthen publicity to enhance farmers' awareness of the harmfulness of white pollution;(2)Strictly implement relevant laws and regulations to promote thick film use;(3)Establish Improve the membrane recovery system,and promote the use of residual membrane resources;(4)increase the research and development of biodegradable film.
