Banana is one of the most important fruit in tropical and subtropical regions and the world's largest consumption of fresh-fruit,and the world's largest trade in fruits.Crown-cutting is an important link of post-harvesting treatment.At present,the artificial method is used in the banana crown-cutting both domestic and foreign country,and it has the problems of the strong labor intensity,low efficiency and serious injury.so the lack of the mechanical crown-cutting equipment has become a bottleneck in the development of banana harvesting mechanization.This paper studied the cutting characteristics and the cutting process of the banana crown to provides the basis for the development of banana crown-cutting equipment.It studies the cutting characteristics and the cutting process of the banana crown in order to reduce the cutting force and the cutting power,and obtain the structural characteristics and mechanical properties of banana crown by analysed it,and the force analysis and the finite element simulation method are used to analyze the stress in the process of crown-cutting process.The influence of the main parameters on the c utting process was studied in order to optimize the design of the equipment.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The structural characteristics of banana crown were analyzed.The resistance of the crown cutting mainly from vascular bundles by microscopic identification,and obtained the crown spacing,arc length,thickness,water content and density parameters,and establish the relationship with the crown position,and provide the basic parameters for the establishment of three-dimensional model of the following simulation process;(2)Compression and cutting tests were carried out to obtain the compressive modulus,peak cutting force and shear strength,and that the compressive elastic modulus of the crown and the crown position is a two times linear negative correlation relationship which increased first and then decreased,the peak cutting force and shear strength of the crown showed a linear negative correlation with the position of the crown,this provides the basis for the subsequent simulation of mechanical parameters.(3)According to the theoretical analysis of the crown-cutting process,it can be concluded that it is helpful to improve the cutting quality of the crown by using the cutting edge of the cutter blade and increasing the cutting speed;O n the basis of the previous parameters,the finite element method and the ANSYS/LS-dyna software were used to simulate the crown-cutting process,and gotten a test verification.(4)The influence factors of the blade cutting force were studied by making a single factor and orthogonal experiment.The test showed that: cutting speed,blade edge angle and blade angle have a significant influence on cutting force(P<0.01),the influent order of the cutting force peak are blade angle,blade edge angle,cutting speed.When the blade angle is about 30,the blade edge angle is about 10 degrees,cutting speed is 3000 mm/min,the peak cutting force is the minimum of 195.894 N.It provides a reference for optimizing the blade and the speed of the crown-cutting.
