For a long time,traditional production methods,with a considerably low level of informatization,remain to be the dominant approaches in Chinese agriculture.How to rapidly promote the agricultural information construction is always an urgent task in the process of agricultural modernization and facing related scientific research work in China.In view of this,this paper designed and implemented a remote data monitoring system based on ZigBee wireless sensor network for the needs of a typical agricultural information system,along with a consideration of the management of power consumption of field devices.The demonstration application shows that this system can well support agricultural data monitoring tasks,support scientific researchers with sophisticated agricultural data,and therefore has a good application value in agricultural information construction and modern farmland management.Specifically,the main research work of this article is as follows:(1)According to the monitoring of system requirements for agricultural field data,the overall architecture of the system was designed and built.This system is mainly composed of two parts,the ZigBee wireless sensor network subsystem and the remote management software subsystem,with data communication between which implemented through Ethernet data interaction protocol.The ZigBee wireless sensor network subsystem is deployed in the agricultural fields,accomplishing tasks like real-time data collection,processing and wireless transmission.The remote management subsystem is mainly used for data reception,storage and display,and is capable of maintaining communication with the gateway nodes,therefore enabling remote browsers to monitor agricultural data in real time.(2)The hardware circuits of the ZigBee wireless sensor nodes were built using ultra low power consumption CC2530 and STM32 chips,along with the design of the corresponding minimum system circuit,like ZigBee wireless sensor nodes and other PCB boards.Afterwards,the low-power mode of the terminal equipment,drivers of the data sensors and optimization of routing algorithm are also designed.Among them,the low-power mode of terminal devices is mainly embodied in controlling the ratio of periodic hibernations and wake-ups,with a low duty cycle reducing the energy consumption of the terminal devices;data sensor drivers are designed based on the data communication protocols,using interactive programs between hosts to collecting agricultural data reasonably;in addition,routing algorithm optimization uses AODVjr algorithm to deeply divide layers among routing nodes,and to achieve a better level of energy saving.(3)The remote management software subsystem is implemented using Java EE technology,with a hierarchical structure composed with layers like the presentation layer,the business logic layer and the data entity layer.Typical functionalities this subsystem provides are like real-time monitoring,query and statistics,and data download and system configuration,available to end users such as agricultural scientific researchers and agricultural administrators.Taking the farmland of a pilot farm research organization as an application scenario,this system was tested in terms of data sensors acquisition,gateway communication,as well as functionality.The test results show that this system meets the needs of agricultural data monitoring,providing a stable working condition and a high usability.
