The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effects of different plant source of antibiotics substitutes on the growth performance and serum biochemical parameters of broilers.The researches results can provide practical reference for the application of cordyceps matrix powder and ursolic acid(loquat leaf extract)in poultry production as well as the theoretical basis for the no antibiotic aquaculture.192 Yellow-feathered broilers(female)on 35 days of age were selected and allocated to four groups random Ly,each group of 6 repeat,each repeated eight chicken,trial period is 35 days.Group A is the control group,feeding base diet;Group B was addedtylosin(300 mg/kg)among basal diet;Group C was added cordyceps matrix powder(500 mg/kg)among basal diet;Group D was added ursolic acid(500 mg/kg)among basal diet.At the end of the experiment,the effects and possible mechanism of different antibiotics substitutes on the growth of yellow broiler chickens were investigated by determination of production and slaughter performance,serum biochemical parameters.The results were shown as follow:1.The average daily weight gain and average daily intake significantly were increased in the groups which cordyceps matrix powder and tylosin(P< 0.05).However,the addition of ursolic acid was no significant effect on the growth performance of broiler chickens.Compared with the basal diet group,the feed to gain ratio of group B,C and D was respectively decreased by 4.97%,2.77% and 3.05%.2.Added the tylosin,cordyceps matrix powder and ursolic acid have significantly improved the broiler carcass weight,semi-net and full-net bore weight(p<0.05);the tendency of adding cordyceps matrix powder to increase chest weight,leg weight and leg muscle weight(p?0.10);ursolic acid also significantly increased the chest muscle weight(p<0.05)of Broilers.there is a tendency to improve the muscle weight of the legs(p?0.10).3.Compared with the control group,the superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity in serum was significantly increased in the group with the addition of ursolic acid and cordycepsmatrixpowder(P<0.05),as well as the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)in serum was significantly decreased(P< 0.05).To sum up,the addition of cordyceps matrix powder and ursolic acid in broiler diets can partly substitute for the disease-resistance and growth-promoting effect of the broiler,and significantly improve the growth of the pectoralis muscle,and its mechanism may be related to its antioxidant function.
