Three-line hybrid breeding technology has been playing an important role in increasing yield of rice,the breeding of restorer line is an important basis for heterosis utilization,enhancing resistance to diseases and pests is important for the increasement of production,choosing good quality restorer is useful at improving the quality of hybrid progeny.Besides,there are strong heterosis between indica and japonica,and breeding compatible line will be helpful for compatibility.This research,using elite lines improve restorer line and indica-compatible japonica restorer line modifies HJX74 wide-compatibility line,the main results as follows:(1)Pyramiding breeding of WA-CMS good restorer line.By the utilization of MAS selection,the segments of Wx-17 T,gs3,fgr,Hd-1-2,OsMADS50 and Pi-24 were introgressed into restorer line P152-07.Good quality WA-CMS restorer lines got 25 homozygous plants.Through pyramiding of Wx-20 G,gs3,gw8,qBLAST-11-1,qBLAST-2-1 and Xa21 gene(QTL)obtained 22 homozygous lines of WA-CMS restorer,which are high yield,resistance to diseases and pests.(2)Breeding of elited BT-CMS restorer and determination restoring force and quality.Making use of good quality lines to improve restorer lines,9 restorer lines of the high quality BT-CMS with Wx-17 T,gs3,fgr,Hd-1-2,OsMADS50,Pi-24 and Rf1 was obtained.To investigate its restorability and quality and yield related traits of the 5 newly obtained BT-CMS elited restorer lines.1)Testing to Chunjiang16 A,the range of pollen fertility is between 70.10% and 72.13%,the two combinations were significantly increased by 7.00% to 7.50% compared with the control group.The spikelet fertility is between 75.10%and 79.40%,the four combinations were significantly increased by 6.50-8.40%.The amylose content range from 19.09% to 20.24%,and the 4 combinations were significantly reduced by 0.74% to 1.33%.The yield of single plant is between 18.62-23.26 g.The yield was significantly increased by 4.86-9.59 g.2)Testing to Chunjiang23 A,the range of pollen fertility was between 70.61% and 73.96%,all combinations were significantly increased by 5.97% and 8.46%.The spikelet fertility was in the range of 74.30-83.30%,and the combination was significantly increased by 14.56%.The amylose content range from 23.88% to 27.38%,which were significantly increased by 3.46-6.96%.Single plant yield did not improve significantly.The results showed that it was feasible to use high quality improved restorer line to test cross.(3)Pyramiding breeding of the new wide-compatibility restorer and determination restoring force and quality.Selection new wide-compatibility restorer with genes(QTL)including Wx-20 G,Alk,S5 and Sc.and two of them were examined for recovery,quality and yield traits.Testing to Chunjiang16 A,the range of pollen fertility is between 66.70% and 68.56%,only increasing 0.07% to 1.93% compared with the control group.The spikelet fertility is 69.91%and 74.33%,only one increased 3.33%,The amylose content was 19.09% and 20.24%,significantly decreased by 1.33% and 3.45%.The yield of single plant was 21.69 g and 33.87 g,which were significantly increased 8.02 g and 20.2 g.The results show that the quality and yield of the offspring can be improved by the new wide-compatibility restorer.(4)The breeding of HJX74 new compatibility.By improving G3 obtained 25 HJX74 new compatibility containing segments of Sa-j,S5,Sc.The ability of recovery and yield of HJX74 new compatibility line were investigated.1)Testing to Chunjiang16 A,the pollen fertility is 70.49%,which is increased 3.86%.The spikelet fertility is 84.30%,significantly increased 3.33%.The yield is 19.96 g,which is significantly increased 6.20 g.2)Testing to Chunjiang23 A,the pollen fertility is 72.67%,which is significantly increased 8.03%? The spikelet fertility is 75.10%,increased 3.40%.The results showed that the new compatibility could improve the compatibility with the sterile line.The excellent restorer lines,high quality line,wide-compatibility line,indica-compatible japonica restorer line are materials.Using molecular marker-assisted selection technique practiced pyramiding breeding,improving restorer line quality,restorability,compatibility,and providing theoretical guidance and material basis for heterosis of rice.
