Kiwifruit(Actinidia spp.)is a perennial and deciduous vine fruit tree native to China.Fruit is rich in kinds of organic matter, vitamins and minerals necessary for human body, and has various medical and health care functions.Kiwifruit is a dioecious fruit tree.In order to achieve high quality and high yield of kiwifruit,it is particularly important to select excellent male plants and rationally distribute pollination trees in production. At present, the research on kiwifruit is mainly focused on female plants, but little is known about its excellent male plants. In this experiment, the germplasm evaluation, pollen character and pollen straightness effect of male kiwifruit were studied in order to improve the fruit of kiwifruit quality and yield lay the theoretical foundation. The main results are as follows:1.At least 5 pairs of polymorphic SSR primers(UDK96-035,UDK96-040,UDK96-040,UDK96-019,A055)were completely differentiated from 70 different sources of Actinidia.Based on the results of SSR molecular markers,70 samples could be distinguished according to their subordinate species. The results showed that the male germplasm of A.chinensis and A.deliciosa had high genetic diversity, and the male germplasm of A.deliciosa was slightly higher than that of A.chinensis, but there was no significant difference between the male germplasm of A.deliciosa and A.chinensis.2.The pollen quantity and pollen viability of Actinidia plants were significantly different with different varieties.By statistical analysis and classification comparison,it was found that the pollen viability and pollen quantity of A.chinensis were distributed in grade I,II and III.Pollen viability and pollen quantity of A.deliciosa were concentrated in grade II and occasionally distributed in grade I.The pollen viability of male plant of A.eriantha was concentrated in grade II and pollen quantity was concentrated in grade III.The male plants of the second and third grade kiwifruit have more pollen quantity and higher pollen germination rate, which can meet the requirement of kiwifruit pollination.3.Based on the results of the previous analysis, the suitable and comprehensive male plants were selected to study the effect of pollen xenia on the main female cultivar ‘Hongyang’,‘Jinguo’ ‘Jinkui’ and ‘Jin Yan’.The results showed that kiwifruit had obvious pollen xenia effect in fruit setting rate, single fruit weight, soluble solids content, dry matter content, soluble sugar content, titratable acid content, vitamin C content, seed weight and so on.The male plants of A.chinensis ‘a35’ and ‘a39’ can be used as the suitable male plants of ‘Hongyang’,and the male plants of A.chinensis ‘a27’ and ‘a47’ can be used as ‘Jinguo’.The male plants of A.chinensis ‘a50’ and ‘a52’ can be used as suitable male plants of ‘Jin Yan’,and the male plants of A.deliciosa could be used as adaptations of ‘Jinkui’.
