These years, cultivating seedless, superior quality persimmon was considered as the breeding goal of specialized persimmon plant breeders. But compared with the other fruit tree, the choice of cross parents and the obtainment of hybrid breeds were harder. So according to the study of cross-compatibility, pollen xenia and parthenocarpy, higher cross-compatibility combination, superior pollen xenia male plants and seedless varieties can be easily found. At the same time, the cost and difficulty can be reduced to a great extent. Therefore, the study of cross-compatibility, pollen xenia and parthenocarpy has high theoretical and valuable significance. The cross-compatibility, pollen xenia and parthenocarpy of persimmon were studied. Eleven clutivars of kaki(Xinchangniuxinshi, Maokuishi, Wakasugikeijirou, Huaxiandahongshi, Mopanshi, Heishi, Yeshi, Ganmaokui, Hiratanenashi, Jinzaoshi, Youhou) and one cultivar of virginiana(Meizhoushi) were chosen as female plants, four clutivars of kaki(Za3-2, Zenjimaru, Za4-2, Shougatsu) were chosen as male plants, and sixty cross combination were established to study the cross-compatibility of interspecific and intraspecific persimmon. Parthenocarpy was studied by bagged-selfing and non-viable pollen pollination.Eight clutivars of kaki (Xinchangniuxinshi, Wakasugikejirou, Mopanshi, Hiratanenashi, Jinzaoshi, Youhou, Yeshi, Ganmaokui) were chosen as female plants and four clutivars of kaki (Za3-2, Zenjimaru, Za4-2, Shougastu) were chosen as male plants to study the pollen xenia, and the following results were obtained:I The pollen viability of four male plants was different, Za3-2has the highest pollen viability, with52.53%. Shougastu has the lowest pollen viability, with34.10%. And the pollen viability of Za4-2and Zenjimaru was40.02%and48.13%respectively.II The cross-compatibility and fruit setting rate of intraspecific were higher than interspecific. The fruit setting rate of female plants can be improved by artificial pollination.III Parthenocarpy and Sti-parthenocarpy were observed in Ganmaokui, Youhou, Hiratanenashi, Mopanshi and Xinchangniuxinshi. Parthenocarpy was observed in Huaxiandahongshi. Non-parthenocarpy was observed in Meizhoushi, Wakasugikeijirou, Yeshi, Jinzaoshi and Maokuishi.Sti-parthenocarpy was observed in Heishi.â…£ The pollen xenia of weight of singal fruit, longitudinal, transverse, fruit shape index, firmness, Vitamin c content, tannin content, soluble solid content and total sugar was observed in Wakasugikeijirou, Xinchangniuxinshi, Ganmaokui, Yeshi. But this phenomenon was not observed in Youkou, Hiratanenashi, Jinzaoshi, Mopanshi.
