Maize is the world's third largest food crops after wheat and rice,wide spreads all the world.Around 20 million hectares maize was planted in China which played important role in economics.Ostrinia furnacalis is a main insect for maize in China.So using gene modified technology to control Ostrinia furnacalis is immediate areas of research focus.Besides the research itself,the safety of transgenic maize is also paid much attention according to the principle of synchronization of safety evaluation and research.The insect-resistant transgenic maize G1F-19 with mcry1 F produced by China Agricultural University is in environment release period now,which should has important application potential.This research was focused on the impact of G1F-19 with mcry1F to the community structure of overground arthropod.The test location was in the field of Jilin and Zheng 58 was used as check.Main Conclusion:1.The impact of G1F-19 to the species component of overground arthropodAround 10 batches of overground arthropod were studied through the direct observation method.One-way ANOVA(analysis of variance)showed that only the Asiatic maize borer larva of 20 July had significant variation,while no significant variation happened in other period.The overall ANOVA of different batches of sample collection over the whole investigation period showed that the Asiatic maize borer larva was significantly reduced compared to the control,while other overground arthropod showed no significant difference between the field of G1F-19 and Zheng 58.This was caused by the control of transgenic impact of G1F-19,while no new environment risk was induced.Around 5 batches of overground arthropod were studied through the vacuum-suction method.One-way ANOVA showed that no significant variation happened for the group and quantity of the overground arthropod between the fields of transgenic and check.The overall ANOVA of different batches of sample collection over the whole investigation period showed that only the spider was significantly increased compared to the check,while other overground arthropod showed nosignificant difference between the field of G1F-19 and Zheng 58.However,as one of the natural enemies of field insect,the spider showed no change between the field of G1F-19 and Zheng-58 in different develop periods according to the one-way ANOVA.So no new safety risk was added in this case.2.The impact of G1F-19 to the community structure diversity of overground arthropodThe community structure parameters of overground arthropod were studied through the direct observation method.And one-way ANOVA of the community structure parameters of overground arthropod of G1F-19 and Zheng 58 over different periods showed that Shannon-Wiener diversity index of 20 July,Pielou evenness index of 15 June and 20 July and Simpson index of 20 July and 31 July had significant difference between the field of G1F-19 and Zheng 58,while the traits in other periods had no significant difference.The overall ANOVA of different batches of sample collection over the whole investigation period showed that there was no significant difference for the community structure parameters of overground arthropod between the field of G1F-19 and Zheng 58.The community structure diversity of overground arthropod were also studied through the vacuum-suction method.One-way ANOVA of the community structure parameters of overground arthropod of G1F-19 and Zheng 58 over different periods showed that Shannon-Wiener diversity index,Pielou evenness index and Simpson index had no significant difference.The overall ANOVA showed that there was also no significant difference for Shannon-Wiener diversity index,Pielou evenness index and Simpson index of the overground arthropod between the field of G1F-19 and Zheng 58.Overall,the direct observation method and vacuum-suction method showed that compared to Zheng 58,the planting of G1F-19 with mcry1 F in Jilin will not cause significant change of community structure of overground arthropod in short period.
