In view of the occurrence situation of main crop diseases and insect pests and the status of chemical control in Zhejiang Province, the background and operation mode of control of rice pathogens and pests in Xiaoshan district were investigated,in combination with the actual production situation in Xiaoshan District. On this basis,a number of new and efficient pesticide were screened, and the advanced plant protection equipment and green control technology were investigated,to propose a set of techniques with reduced pesticide application in rice production, and also the application in a large scale in Xiaoshan District.1.The survey clarified the policy regarding the control of rice pests and diseases in Xiaoshan District, leading to a system constructed with village-level plant protection organizations, agricultural technology stations and other cooperative organizations.2.Through the screening of efficient new pesticides,a series of new pesticides were obtained.3.Through the comparative study of the old manual sprayer and new mechanical sprayer,we found that new plant protection spraying machinery showed high efficiency with saved labor costs, and suitability for large area operation, and thus reduced the use of chemical pesticides.4.The effect of integrated control on reduced application of pesticides against rice disease and pests was summarized.5.On the basis of integrated control(IC),the green prevention and control technology(GPCT)was also explored and practiced. In GPCT area, the pesticide residues in rice were all below the national permitted standards, achieving the goal of high quality, high yield, high efficiency and ecological agriculture development.
