China ranks first in fruit production and fruit consuming,The national demand for fruit is growing,also the quality requirements for fruit are higher and higher,thus there is huge economic value in the fruit industry,the machinery related to fruit production has also developed rapidly.In China the area of mountain,plateau and hilly land is about 67% of the total land area,and The fruit most widely consumed for the nationals is apple and citrus,these kinds of fruit are usually planted in mountain and plateau land.The problem of transportation for fruit?organic fertilizer and other goods has always troubled the fruit growers.At present the loss of young and middle-aged labor force is serious in rural areas,thus the mechanization of fruit transportation is an urgent problem to be solved.Large amounts of fruit and organic fertilizer need transporting in the field of a mountain orchard but there are no special transport roads,the roads with the features of complicated traffic and smaller gaps between fruit trees made it difficult for small transport vehicles to shuttle.Regarding the issue above,a mountain orchard transport vehicle with single crawler was designed out.In this paper,based on the existing transport vehicles,the characteristics of domestic and international transport vehicles were analyzed,the walking mode—single crawler was determined,also the whole structure?working principle and technical parameters and so on were determined.The design task was mainly to study the influence of vehicle centroid change on transportation effect during the process of walking.The main tasks in this paper are as follows:1)The theoretical analysis of motion: By studying the influence of vehicle centroid change on running effect under various conditions,thus the theoretical basis was established for the following design and layout method of the components.2)The choice of the main parameters and the design of all the components: The vehicle was composed of the single crawler walking device?The frame?transmission device and power system.According to the requirements of goods transport and the requirements of ergonomics,the parameters related to every component were determined.3)The simulation analysis of motion and structure parameters: The analysis was based on CAD and CAE softwares.The 3D model of the vehicle was conducted by Creo,the assembly interference was checked and the position of centroid was found by Creo;the dynamics analysis was conducted by Adams/view,the simulations of running on flat road?running on the slope were simulated,so the running parameters of the vehicle were analysed;the stress analysis of the vehicle and the modal analysis were conducted by ANSYS/wb,to ensure that every part can have enough strength and stiffness.4)Test verification: after prototype,The vehicle under full load was tested in different road conditions to measure its real running parameters,based on operational these parameters,the vehicle was improved again.According to theoretical design and test verification,the result showed that:the maximum load capacity was 75 kg,it has the ability to go up 10 degrees and go down 30 degrees in longitudinal slope.The results also showed that it can run across the lateral slope of 20 degrees and the vehicle was able to run over the 100 millimeters ridge and the 300 millimeters wide ditch.The vehicle was entitled with legerity and agility,the vehicle had a good performance in transporting fruit?organic fertilizer and other goods.
