The current water hyacinth treatment equipment is usually a large fixed machinery,which needs to be housed in a plant far from the lake and river.Because of the high water content and bulk density of water hyacinth in the natural state,it will cost plenty of manpower and material resources in accordance with the traditional treatment mode to salvage,transport and store the water hyacinth.These characteristics are completely not conducive to the resource treatment of water hyacinth.Therefore,it is necessary to comprehensively analyze the influence of factors such as compression speed and initial moisture content of materials on the compressibility of water hyacinth,explore the best economical water hyacinth compression density,develop a compression packer and explore the packing process.In this paper,water hyacinth was used as the research object,and the compressibility experiment of water hyacinth was carried out.The variation regulation of water hyacinth compressibility with compression density,compression speed and initial moisture content was obtained,and the optimum compressive density of water hyacinth under different test conditions was determined.On this therotical basis,a water hyacinth compressing packer was designed and manufactured and the optimal process parameters of packing was determined by experiment.The main research contents and conclusions in this paper were summarized as follows:(1)The compressible experiment of water hyacinth was carried out.The results show that the relationship between the volume modulus and the compression density of the water hyacinth in the process of compression is a power function model.The compression process can be divided into three stages: looseness,transition and compaction.As well,the materials in loose and transitional stage have better compressibility.At the same time,when the water hyacinth compression density is small,the compression speed has no obvious influence on the compressibility of the water hyacinth.Water Hyacinth sample with the initial water content of 92% has the best compressibility.(2)The optimum compressive density of water hyacinth under different experimental conditions was solved.The optimum density of water hyacinth was concentrated in the interval from 600 to 800 kg/m3.Under the condition of satisfying the actual production requirement,the water hyacinth packing density should be set to a small value in order to obtain better economic benefit.And it should not exceed the optimum compressing density under the corresponding process conditions.(3)The water hyacinth compressing packer was designed and manufactured.On the basis of confirming the package process scheme,a packer which satisfies the expected function and test requirements was designed and manufactured.The packer consists of five parts,which are compressing device,extrduing device,auxiliary device,hydraulic system and electronic control system.The compressing device mainly completes the material's compression and dehydration,the extruding device mainly completes the material discharging and the packing,the auxiliary device completes to the equipment support and material feeding,the hydraulic system provides the power,the electric control system is desiged to control the hydraulic cylinder movement order.(4)The process parameters optimization experiment of water hyacinth compression and packing was carried out.In order to explore the impact of packing process parameters on packing performance,take feeding rate,mincing degree,dwell time as experimental factors.The optimal combination of the process parameters were determined through single-factor and orthogonal experiments using the packing density,yield,water content as the indexes.The experiment results show that the order of primary and secondary effects on packing density is: dwell time,mincing degree,feeding rate,and the order on yield effects is: feeding rate,mincing degree,dwell time,as well the order on water content is: feeding rate,dwell time and mincing degree.The best combination of process parameters is: the feeding rate is 7.0±0.1kg,the mincing degree is 6.75±2.25% and the dwell time is 10 s.The results of three tests on the optimal combination of process parameters show that the packing process is better than that of the experimental group,which can basically meet the expected design requirements.
