'Liu yuehong' was derived from a cross between Arkasas Black and Summer Apple,introduced by the Pomology Institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2004.The field expedition was conducted by the Forest Varieties Registration Committee of Shanxi Province in July,2017.The fruit ripens in late June in the Jinzhong area of Shanxi.'Liu yuehong' has the early fruit and high yield ability and has broad application prospects and market competitiveness.This experiment observed the agronomic traits of"Liuyuehong","Xiali" and "Gala" apples and did the quality analysis.The results were as follows.1.The fruit bearing of "Liuyuehong" apple is mainly in short fruit branch and axillary bud,had the good early fruiting and good fertility;The bud germination is strong,branching is medium;Blossom of grafting tree were in the third year,the average individual yield of fifth year was 15.86 kg,higher than the"Gala" 2.26%and the "Xiali" 8.41%.2.The first flower of "Liuyuehong" apple is in mid-april,2~3d earlier than "Xiali" and "Gala";the fruit ripen in late June,and half a month earlier than "Xiali",a month earlier than "Gala".3.The cold resistance of "Liuyuehong" apple is stronger than "Xiali" and "Gala",which had the lowest MDA content,the highest SOD activity under different low temperature(-20 ?,-30? and-40 ?)treatment of branches.4.The incidence rate of rot and rly deciduous disease in n Liuyuehong" apple was 2.12%and 0.17%respectively,which were significantly lower than that of the control varieties "Xiali" and "Gala".5.The soluble solids content of "Liuyuehong" fruit is 12.5%,total sugar content is 58.31 mg/g,fructose content is 35.98 mg/g,total acid content is 1.61%,the ratio of sugar and acid content is 3.62:1,the content of Vc is 18.29 nmol/g,soluble protein content is 28.28 mg/g,peeling hardness is 8.33 kg/cm2,the tasting,nutrition quality were better than the control varieties "Xiali" and the "Gala".
