Potentilla reptans is a creeping perennial wild herbaceous plants,the ecological adaptability,developed fibrous roots,turf speed,is the preferred material for the Heyuan river head vegetation restoration and lawn industry,is a good landscape material is worthy of further study and use.The growth characteristics of the previous morphological characteristics of Potentilla reptans,on the basis of ecological habits,and so on,based on the clonal growth of seed treatment method of double,seedling treatment,cotton covering method and ornamental characteristics of double after the success of the plant,the resistance characteristic,makes a systematic research on the garden application etc.In order to make the Potentilla reptans excellent ground cover plant resources have been exploited,creeping to lay the foundation for greening and beautifying the city environment for the application of Potentilla sericea.The results are as follows:(1)This study by using three methods of colchicine on Potentilla reptans chromosome doubling.At the concentration of 0.1%and the treatment time of H,the induced mutation rate was highest at the concentration of 18%;At the concentration of 0.2%and the treatment time of 8 h,the mutation rate was highest,which was 20%.The induction rate of colchicine was highest when the concentration was 0.1%and the treatment time was 4h,which was up to 10%.Comparison and analysis of the above three methods,seedling treatment,colchicine immersion buds obtained higher induction rate,is suitable for Potentilla reptans chromosome doubling and simple and economical method.(2)According to the observation of plant morphological characteristics,the results showed that polyploid plants showed better ornamental characters than normal plants.There are larger leaves,thicker leaves,leaf color deepened luster,flower diameter becomes large and bright color,with high ornamental value.(3)Through the study on the resistance of Potentilla reptans plants confirmed that Potentilla variation,corresponding changes have occurred in the physiological and biochemical characteristics,the guard cells increased,stomatal density decreases,the 1,2 generation of tetraploid SOD activity,POD activity and CAT activity were significantly higher than diploid plants.Therefore,Potentilla reptans tetraploid with strong cold resistance,drought,waterlogging,ecological adaptability enhancement,and has stronger resistance to trampling.(4)The double Potentilla reptans leaves,leaf green ink,shiny color,luster and high ornamental value;Potentilla reptans and with water conservation,windbreak and sand fixation,therefore polyploid clonal growth has a very broad prospect of landscape application.
