At present,vehicle-mounted trimmer typically installed on a large tractor or car,researches for bearing vehicle of trimmers are only a few.Based on this background,this paper focuses on designing and researching carrying vehicle and carrying mechanism.Project team designed and researched a hedge trimmer experimental platform which is able to automatically trim and shape green hedge.Then using the experimental platform,it has been experimented about trimming plane,trimming sphere and trimming cylinder.Experiments show that hedge trimmmer's stability and efficiency are influented by side-mounted manipulator.Through analysis of the carrying car,found that the suspension is an important factor affecting trim work of trimmers.Reference exist carrying mechanism designs,this paper proposes pre-type and rear-type two alternative carrying mechanism with support wheels,design their size and main components,to solve the problem of pruning error and stability operations caused the suspension of the carrying vehicle.Using of Pro/E,ADAMS co-simulation method to establish hedge trimmers model,as a starting point of four kinds of limit working conditions of hedge trimmer manipulator(limit position of horizontal trim,limit position of vertical trim,trim sphere surface,trim cylinder surface),and in the three cases(the carrying vehicle suspension lock,only suspension working,and with a supporting rule),respectively installing simulation of kinematics and dynamics of pre-type carrying mechanism and rear-type carrying mechanism.Comprehensive simulation results,determining the selection of the design of pre-type carrying mechanism.At last,through ANSYS finite blement stress analysis and finite element modal analysis of hedge trimmer carrying mechanism to ensure that it has sufficient strength and stiffness,as well as to determine the natural frequency can avoid excitation frequencies caused by ground and pruning tools.In addition,in order to make full use of the material and achieve to the goal of light weight,carrying mechanism structure has been optimized.Finally,in order to checking the carrier mechanism can improve the stability of the car or not to do modal analysis,the result shows it can reduce the carrying vehicle vibration frequency.This selection of pre-type carrying mechanism can be a good solution of problems of pruning error and stability,which caused by side-mounted manipulator and the carrying vehicle suspension.While pre-type carrying mechanism has sufficient strength and stiffness,the mechanism complied with design ideas.In addition,the hedge trimmer has already applied 11 patents and 6 utility model patents,Currently,its industrial research is ongoing,and has started trial production of small batches.
