In this paper,the tobacco was taken as experimental materials in Tianchang International Tobacco Co.Ltd.The tabacco was from every area in Henan and Baoji in Shanxi province.The optimum test condition of Shatter Resistance Index of tobacco was determined.This paper analyzed the relationship between the shatter resistance property and the appearance of anti-tobacco quality,physical,chemical composition,cell wall substances.The main conclusions were as follows:1.The experiment of determining the optimum conditions of Shatter Resistance Index showed that,when the relative humidity was in the same conditions,Shatter Resistance Index was showed : middle leaf > upper leaf > lower leaf.This was consistent with the practical experience and theoretical analysis.So Shatter Resistance Index standing for the shatter resistance property was feasible.Three parallel samples of the same test was measured,and the standard deviation was smaller,while the coefficient of variation was less than 3%,which was more stable.It was indicated that the determination of Shatter Resistance Index has good repeatability,and was stable.It has two gradient laboratory tests.The first test determined the humidity range,then the second test determine humidity through narrow the differences.The results show that:the best environmental conditions of Shatter Resistance Index was T=(22±1)?,RH=(76.5±1.5)%.Determination of parameters has the three factors and three levels of testing,in accordance with the L9(34)orthogonal table.The best working parameters of determining Shatter Resistance Index of tobacco was that 3g specific tobacco leaf smashed 3s,and then sieved through 1.0mm.2.The appearance quality of tobacco has maturity,leaf texture,body,oil,color.The leaf has good maturity,loose leaf texture,enough oil,middle color,also has higher shatter resistance property.Body had not obvious relationship of shatter resistance property.The excellent tobacco leaf has good maturity,loose leaf texture,good body,enough oil,power color,and the performance had high shatter resistance property.3.Physical indicators of tabacco included tensile load,tensile strength,ductility,thickness significantly,filling power,leaf mass index weight and Shatter Resistance Index.Shatter Resistance Index had the smallest variaty coefficient,and ductility had the largest one,the next was tensile strength,tensile load,filling power,thickness significantly,leaf mass index weight.Shatter Resistance Index was significant positive correlation with tensile load,ductility,thickness significantly.Shatter Resistance Index was positive correlation with leaf mass index weight.Leaves with similar physical indicators were into the same system on line analysis process.65% of the tobacco samples were assigned to the same category.The most samples are similar and could be processed under similar conditions,which would help ensure the large and medium piece rate,reduce the broken.4.The chemical composition had nicotine,total sugar,reducing sugar,total nitrogen,potassium and chlorine.the total nitrogen had the smallest variaty coefficient,and chlorine had the largest one.The next was nicotine,potassium,total sugar,reducing sugar.Shatter Resistance Index was significant positive correlation with nicotine,total sugar,chlorine.Shatter Resistance Index was positive correlation with potassium.Shatter Resistance Index was significant negetive correlation with total nitrogen.5.Cell wall substances had the total cell wall material,cellulose,pectin and lignin.the total cell wall material had the smallest variaty coefficient,and cellulose had the largest one.The next was pectin and lignin.Shatter Resistance Index was significant positive correlation with pectin.Shatter Resistance Index was significant negetive correlation with cellulose.Shatter Resistance Index was negetive correlation with Lignin.
