Introduced Cultivar Research Of Several Late Maturing Table Grape Varieties Under Proteceted Cultivation In Yangling

The newly introduced table grape cultivars are researched in this paper,and the adaptability of the cultivars are discussed under the conditions of Yangling climate.This study is aimed to enrich the local table grape varieties,and to provide scientific basis for variety introduction and production.Nine varieties,including WH11-23?WH11-35?WH12-51?WH1-52?WH12-53?Qiuhongbao?Italia?Christmas rose are researched in Yangling in 2015.We investigate the phenophase?botanical traits?disease resistance?maturity curves?berry quality and yield factors.The results show as following:1.In terms of phenophase,the sprouting date of the varieties are mostly focus on late March and early April,the sprouting date of the varieties which planted in greenhouse are about 2 weeks early than that in shelter.The WH11-35 which planted in greenhouse is the first one to sprout,while the WH11-35 which planted in shelter is the last one to sprout.Four varieties among the entire varieties blossom,the earliest one to ripen is the WH11-35 which planted in greenhouse,and the last one is Christmas rose.2.The results show that the botanical characters of the nine varieties are different from each other,there are some differences among eight varieties of young shoot,young leaf,mature leaf,bunch and berry.Three varieties are the red varieties,the others are white varieties.3.As for the disease resistance,there appear slightly downy mildew in the greenhouse,the strongest resistance to downy mildew is WH11-35.There appear white rot in the shelter,and the Christmas rose has the stronger resistance to white rot.4.Concerning the yield factors,the germination percentage of spur pruning is higher than long branch pruning.WH12-52 has highest germination percentage,while the WH11-35 has lowest among all the varieties.But among the fertile varieties,Christmas rose has highest germination percentage.The bearing branch rate of all varieties are over 50%,and the highest one is WH11-35(69.7%).The cluster numbers per bearing shoot sorted from highest to lowest: Christmas rose(1.5)>WH11-35(1.3)>Qiuhongbao?Italia(1.1).According to the yield factors,Christmas rose and WH11-35 perform better.5.In terms of berry quality,WH11-35 is red variety with the moderate cluster,with no vice spike,with the moderate cluster weight,and with the aroma of strawberry and rose,its flesh is more crisp,it is hard to separate the stem with the berry,so,it has the better character of storage and transportation.Qiuhongbao is a red variety with the moderate cluster,with thin skin and crisp flesh,and with the aroma of rose.Italia has the yellow green skin with the loose cluster,and cluster maturity is inconsistent,and with the lightly aroma.Christmas rose is a red variety with branch cluster,and with thick aroma of rose,and high sugar content.To summary up,there are some differences in performance among nine varieties.To consider all the factors,the most suitable varieties for Yangling area to promote is Christmas rose?WH11-35,fellowed by Qiuhongbao and Italia.
