Automobile connector,also known as automobile electronic connector,is commonly used part in automobile electrical systems and has great market demand.Especially with the development of electric vehicles in recent years,the output and quality requirements of automobile connector has been raised,because the quality of the automobile connector will directly affect driving safety issues.Therefore,research on its quality inspection related technologies is of great significance.The automobile connector researched in this article contains multiple metal inserts,which is prone to many quality defects during automated injection molding production.The importance of practical application has high quality requirements for its molding quality.At the same time,in order to cooperate with automated injection molding production,an automated quality inspection system is introduced to meet strict quality control requirements.Through the research on the key technologies in the process of automated quality inspection,the design of the automobile connector injection molding automatic quality inspection system has been completed.While ensuring the quality of the output products,the production inspection efficiency has been improved.Based on the CAE software,the injection molding process of automobile connector is studied,and the optimal process parameters for injection molding are obtained.The working cycle of the testing system is determined,and the design goals and design requirements of the testing system are determined.By analyzing the quality defects prone to appear in automobile connector,a visual inspection scheme based on image processing is determined and the basic platform design is completed.Based on Eplan software and the overall plan and platform design,the electrical control part design of the inspection system is completed,and the hardware planning layout of the three major modules of the system is further completed: injection mold monitoring module,automatic detection module,and quality feedback module.Based on Twin CAT and GX WORKS software,the PLC program design of the electrical control ofeach module of the system is completed,and the touch screen HMI design of the auxiliary operation equipment is completed,including the system's control requirements for each hardware platform and the automatic operation function,which finally meet the actual production inspection requirements.Based on Visual Studio software,an image processing-based visual inspection system for automotive connectors is integrated and developed.The system can complete the identification and classification of its four defects.The system inspection runtime meets the actual production inspection requirements.In this article,by studying the key factors in the process of automobile connector injection molding,the design of the automated quality testing system for automotive connector injection molding has been completed,which has greatly improved the quality and production efficiency of automobile connector molding products.The system has been tested and verified.It can achieve the expected design purpose and meet the actual production needs.The test results also have certain guiding significance for further improving the injection molding production of automotive connectors.
