In recent years,in the field of communication,network and storage,load point power devices(micro switch power modul)are widely used by The ATCA(Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture)? The PCI Express(Peripheral Component Interconnect Express)and different power devices like power adapter.This article starts with miniaturized DC-DC converter power devices.With GaN power devices developed in recent years compared with traditional Si power devices,a high-efficiency,high-power,miniaturized DC-DC converter is designed and implemented.This switching power modul,which is designed in this paper,is a synchronous rectifier Buck switching power supply based on current control mode.It has the characteristics of high power,high efficiency and miniaturization.Its input voltage range is 4.5V?16V,output voltage is 0.6V?5.5V adjustable,and the output current can be dual 25 A or single 50 A.The main tasks completed in this paper include:1)Based on the theory of power devices,I compare the performance of Si MOSFET devices with that of GaN devices under the existing technical conditions,and analyze the possibility of replacing Si MOSFET with GaN power devices in the design of this Buck converter and the problems that need to be noticed.2)According to the classic Buck switching power supply model and the characteristics of GaN power devices,the system circuit analysis and design of the switching converter is carried out.Including device selection,system schematic design,layout design.3)Based on the process characteristics of thick-film hybrid integrated circuit,I determined the production process of the converter,and described the structural design scheme and key process technical points of the converter.Then I focused on the thermal technology.4)Testing and verifing the converter.The test equipment,test method and test result of the miniature DC-DC converter designed in this paper are introduced.The test results of product performance under typical application conditions with an input voltage of 12 V and an output voltage of 3.3V are described,and key point waveforms are analyzed.The results show that the overall efficiency of the DC-DC converter can be up to 95%,the output voltage accuracy is high,the ripple measurement is from 21 mv to 26 mv,and the shape size is less than 19 mm x 19 mm x 7 mm.It meets the expected performance indicators of the product and can be widely used in communication networks,storage.
