Research On Spatial Structure Evolution Of Pearl River Delta Port Group

The Pearl River Delta port group directly relies on the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone,which is the earliest and highly developed export-oriented economy in China.It is an important support for the economic and social development of the Pearl River Delta economic zone.There are nine ports including Guangzhou port and Shenzhen port.Over the years,the Pearl River Delta port group has achieved rapid development,and its position in the national port system has become increasingly prominent.At present,domestic scholars have done a lot of research on the Pearl River Delta port group,but mainly focus on the port logistics system planning,port competition and cooperation analysis,port construction and production development planning,and there is little research on the spatial structure evolution of the Pearl River Delta port group.This paper summarizes the development law of the ports in the Pearl River Delta,and provides development strategies for the positioning and development of the ports in the Pearl River Delta.Firstly,the development process and current situation of the Pearl River Delta economic zone and the Pearl River Delta port group are described in order to form a comprehensive understanding and macro grasp of the Pearl River Delta port group.Secondly,the main characteristics of the spatial structure evolution of the Pearl River Delta port group from 2000 to 2019 are investigated by using the Gini coefficient and the cargo flow concentration coefficient of the port group This paper divides the development of Pearl River Delta port group into three stages,and analyzes the characteristics of port group competition pattern by using shift share method.Finally,through quantitative calculation combined with quantitative and qualitative analysis,the main trends of spatial structure evolution of Pearl River Delta port group in the future are as follows:the spatial structure evolution of Pearl River Delta port group will tend to spread generally,but the speed of spatial diffusion will tend to be relatively gentle;one of the basic directions of spatial diffusion of port groups in the Delta is to diffuse towards the West Bank of the Delta,and the ports on the West Bank will gradually become ports One of the basic directions of the spatial diffusion of the port group in the Delta is from the main ports to the regional important ports.Based on this,three new models of port group development in Pearl River Delta are put forward:port integration mode,port association mode and market mechanism mode.
