With the increase of car ownership year by year,China's road traffic is becoming more and more complex,and the mixed traffic between people and vehicles often occurs.However,in the development process of vehicle passive safety,less attention has been paid to the safety protection of amateurs.The 2018 version of China's new car evaluation regulations begins to include pedestrian protection in the assessment items.Therefore,it is necessary to study the protection of vehicle structure based on pedestrian,and the topic selection of this paper has a high reference value for engineering practice.Firstly,the pre-processing software ANSA was used to build the simulation model of pedestrian protection,including the finite element model of vehicle body,head collider and leg collider,and the points of collision area were divided according to the experimental provisions of pedestrian protection in version C-NCAP 2018.Secondly,LS-DYNA software was used to conduct the first round of simulation calculation for the established model.Based on the simulation results,10 representative collision points in the head collision area were selected to conduct a detailed analysis on the vehicle body structure,head acceleration curve,displacement cloud map and motion animation of relevant parts of the body near the collision point.Two collision points were selected from the collision area of the leg,and the vehicle body structure,bending moment of the leg,elongation of the ligament and cloud diagram of the leg displacement around the collision point were analyzed in detail.Then,the target value of the collision area was set,and the regional optimization scheme was determined.In the head collision area,the front area of the engine room cover,the headlight area of the engine room cover,the side area of the engine room cover,the middle area of the engine room cover,and the lower area of the front windscreen were optimized.The front protective skin,the front protective energy absorbing foam,the front protective mounting bracket and the air guide plate were optimized in the leg collision area.Finally,the optimized finite element model was recalculated,and the effectiveness of the optimization measures was verified by comparing with the results of the original model.The optimized model reached the minimum score of five stars.In this paper,through the simulation and optimization research on the human protection of a car dealer,the engineer can understand the design considerations related to pedestrian protection,and fully consider the protection of pedestrians in the process of component design,so as to avoid design repetition caused by unreasonable design in the middle and later period.
