Container transportation is a modern transportation method.It improves the inadequacy of intensiveness.poor systemicity and low added value in traditional transportation methods.It plays an important role in improving the efficiency and quality of water transportation.It is a revolution in the transportation field.As a modern transportation method.containerization of transport cargoes has gradually matured and become the mainstream of international shipping.Tianjin Port is one of the earliest ports in China that began to develop container transportation.It is known as the "cradle of containers" in inland China.In recent years.the container business of Tianjin Port has maintained a steady growth trend,and container transportation has become a source of power for further sustainable development of Tianjin Port.In order to further promote the better development of Tianjin Port.Tianjin Port has put foirward the strategy of "prioritizing the development of containers" and decided to take the development of container business as a leader to promote the steady growth of the port scale.In 2013,the "Belt and Road" initiative proposed by President Xi also brought huge opportunities for Tianjin Port to develop container business.With the development opportunities of the "Belt and Road" initiative and Tianjin Port's"priority development of container" strategy,the growth rate of container shipping routes in Tianjin Port has begun to accelerate,and the density of container shipping routes has also increased year by year.With the opening of these newly opened container routes,the density of Tianjin Port's container routes continues to increase.In 2019,Tianjin Port has 130 container liner routes,with more than 550 lines monthly.However,the current world shipping is still in the doldrums.Are there any signs of blindly opening routes without considering the size of hinterland and freight volume when opening new routes?What is the current density of container routes in Tianjin Port?Can the supply meet the container routes?Therefore,by introducing a coupling degree model,this paper measures the coupling degree between the density of the container line of Tianjin Port and the demand for hinterland freight from 2010 to 2018,and studies whether the density of the container line of Tianjin Port and the demand for hinterland freight are coordinated to develop.What the stage of coupling between the density of container shipping lines in Tianjin Port and the demand for hinterland freight is.The results found that the following problems existed between the density of Tianjin shipping route and hinterland freight demand:First,from 2010 to 2018,the degree of coupling and coordination between the density of Tianjin shipping route and hinterland freight demand was generally low.Except for the two years of 2017 and 2018,which are barely coordinated,the other years are in a state of mild or near imbalance.Second,the development of freight demand in the hinterland lags behind.Since 2011,the demand for cargo in Tianjin hinterland has lagged behind the development of container shipping density.Especially in 2011.2014.and 2016,the development level of hinterland freight demand has dropped significantly,seriously lagging behind the development of container line density.Third,from 2010 to 2018,the comprehensive development level of the density of container lines in Tianjin Port has grown rapidly,and its growth rate is much higher than the growth rate of hinterland freight demand.Aiming at these existing problems,corresponding suggestions are made on how to promote the coordinated development between the density of container shipping lines in Tianjin Port and the demand for hinterland freight.The research in this paper is of great practical significance to promote the rational opening of container shipping routes in Tianjin Port,and to coordinate the density of container shipping routes in Tianjin Port and the freight demand in the hinterland.
