Tower crane,as a flag in the field of large construction machinery,has been widely used in engineering.Compared with the traditional sharp head tower crane,which needs large space requirement and poor lifting capacity,the flat-top tower crane with a large working range,a fast luffing speed and a good lifting capacity has become an essential mainstream and an inevitable trend of development.Based on the cooperation project of Jilin University and XCMG,this paper analyzes the strength,rigidity,single limb stability,buckling stability and modal of the flat-top tower crane.The calculation results are verified by experimental research and analytical calculation.And the section of each part of the jib is optimized by using the optimization module of the calculation software under the premise of not exceeding the allowable stress and stiffness.In this paper,the data and design model of each component provided by the manufacturer are first understood and then simplified into a mechanical model.After that,APDL language is selected for the secondary development of the software and used to complete the parametric modeling of each component.The strength and rigidity of the flat-top tower crane are verified to comply with the design requirements through the simulation analysis of six typical loading conditions.Then,Block Lanczos method is used to analyze the modal of the flat-top tower crane,and the first eight natural frequencies and mode shapes are extracted.The analysis of the results provides a basis for the design of anti resonance and the vibration trend is obtained.The single limb stability and the whole machine stability of the model are calculated and analyzed respectively to avoid the structural damage caused by the instability of the compression bar.And the buckling load characteristic values of the model under six typical working conditions are obtained,verified that there is no instability of the whole machine.Then through the comparison of test data,analytical calculation data and software calculation data,verifying the correctness of the model and the accuracy of calculation,and prove the safety and reliability of the flat-top tower crane,and the necessity of finite element analysis is further explained.Finally,the optimization module of the calculation software is used to optimize the topology of the jib section,in order to achieve the purpose of improving material utilization,reducing self weight and lifting performance on the basis of satisfying the strength and stiffness require.
