The engineering vehicle is an important equipment to promote national economy,so the study of driver safety is of vital importance.The content of this paper is mainly based on the GB/T17771-2010‘Earth-moving machinery-Falling-object protective structure-Laboratory tests and performance requirements' and GB/T17922-2014‘Earthmoving machinery-Roll-over protective structures-Laboratory tests and performance requirements' for computer simulation and experiment study on the performance of falling-object and roll-over protective structures for engineering vehicles.Firstly,the domestic and foreign research status and existing problems of ROPS and FOPS are introduced,based on extensive access to relevant literature at home and abroad.And GB/T17922-2014 and GB/T17771-2010 performance requirements and test methods for ROPS and FOPS are introduced.Secondly,referring to related literature,the finite element method of material nonlinearity and structural nonlinearity considered in the computer simulation of the rollover protection structure are introduced.For the computer simulation of the falling object protection structure,the collision theory and the contact algorithm of explicit dynamics are introduced.Thirdly,according to GB/T17922-2014 and GB/T17771-2010,the performance test of ROPS and FOPS of a certain type of loader is carried out,and the load and displacement data of the protective structure are obtained,and using data to analyze the failure mechanism of protection structure.And the load displacement curve and load energy curve of the four groups of rubber pads are obtained through building the test bench for testing the mechanical properties of rubber pads,and the deformation characteristics of the rubber pads and its influence on the performance of the protective structure are analyzed.Finally,the finite element software-Ansys is used to analyze the ROPS and FOPS performance tests of the loader,mainly including geometric model simplification,model material settings,meshing and connection unit settings,applying loads and boundary conditions,and analysis of the results.The analysis shows that the rubber pads have a certain degree of influence on the lateral energy absorption of ROPS.The simulation results are compared with the test results,and the causes of the errors are analyzed.
