| Roll-over protective structures (ROPS) and Falling Object Protective structures are a steel structural system installed on construction machinery,whose primary purpose is to reduce the property loss should the machine roll over or subject to falling object .With the improving of safety protective performance requirements for them,the domestic factories that produce construction machinery must improve the safety protective structures of costruction machinery and the quality of design and manufacture of homemade vehicles ,speed them to come into the international market .In this case ,this paper studies on the laboratory tests and theory for ROPS&FOPS installed on the bulldozer 320 made by Shanghai Pengpu Machinery Co.,Ltd , the main works is:(1) Based on the newest ISO3471:1994 Earth-moving machinery-Roll-over proitective structures-laboratory tests and performance requirements and ISO3164:1995 Earth-moving machinery-laboratory evaluations of protective structures-spectification for deflection-limiting volume,this dissertation describe the structure types and characteristics,functions,performance requirements and testing regulations of Roll-over and Falling-object protective structions of the 320 type bulldozer.The establishiment of the Mechaniacs ROPS&FOPS analysis models derived elasticity or plasticity ROPS & FOPS limited element nonlinear analysis methodology.with which the theoretical analysis and testing researches can be performed.(2) To the mechanical elastic-plastic-based, using ANSYS finite element analysis software for the 320 model bulldozers ROPS various operating conditions to load finite element analysis, access to the ROPS in various conditions of stress and strain, as well as cloud loaded with power shift The relationship between the curves. The results show that, ROPS minimum side-carrying capacity, the smallest energy absorption capacity, vertical bearing capacity and vertical capacity to meet international standards. At the same time, ROPS & FOPS analysis of the failure mechanism, pointing out that the risk-prone section, and reasonable for the design of ROPS & FOPS provides a theoretical basis.(3) 320 models of bulldozers FOPS by the drop hammer blow for the calculation of non-linear response, on the roof were falling weight impact simulation, was on FOPS response to the displacement of the load center.
