Experimental Study On New Polyurethane Magnetic Capsules For Plugging

In recent years,dam breaks have occurred frequently,causing tens of thousands of lives and tens of billions of economic losses.The damage of piping caused by leakage accounts for about one third of the total number of accidents,which seriously threatens the production and living safety of the residents around the reservoir dam.Therefore,it is of great importance to timely seal the piping accidents when they happen.In this paper,based on the magnetic material plugging,a new method of polyurethane magnetic capsule protecting the piping is put forward.In the early stage of the experiment,the design process of polyurethane magnetic capsules was mainly explored,from the selection of polyurethane materials,the selection of hollow capsules,to the preparation of polyurethane capsules.The effects of polyurethane capsules on blocking channels of mixed polyurethane slurry at different ratio were compared and analyzed.Polyurethane magnetic capsule was made by combining the magnetic material with polyurethane to explore the effect of polyurethane magnetic capsule on the protection of piping.The experimental results show that under the same ratio of oil polyurethane and water polyurethane polyurethane,the more the content of magnetic material,the less the content of polyurethane slurry,the easier the polyurethane magnetic capsule is to be absorbed by strong magnetism,the more the number of capsules in the channel is,but the reaction speed of polyurethane magnetic capsule decreases gradually.Through comprehensive analysis,it is concluded that the polyurethane magnetic capsule with magnetic material content of 50g/L has the best protective effect on piping.Under the same experimental conditions of magnetic material content,the higher the proportion of oily polyurethane in the mixed polyurethane slurry,the faster the reaction speed of polyurethane magnetic capsule will be,and the four proportions of polyurethane magnetic capsule can achieve a good plugging effect.The research results in this paper make up for the defects of the early stage of blocking the piping with magnetic materials,and provide a theoretical basis for the further research and practical application of the later stage of protecting piping with magnetic materials.This paper has 30 pictures,4 tables and 72 references.
