Container multimodal transport is an advanced form of transport organization, which is the priority among priorities to reduce cost and increase efficiency for logistics industry. However, the development of container multimodal transport in China lags behind that of developed countries at present. There are several problems exist in the market, for instance the confusion of container management and the low degree of informatization. With the development and reformation of information technology, traditional industries are confronted with the concept of "Internet +",and transportation and logistics are no exception. In the context of "sharing economy",container leasing industry is also seeking for breakthrough and change. The concept of "container sharing" proposed in this paper can integrate the idle container resources in society, improve the utilization of containers, and match the supply and demand of containers by means of information technology through the management platform based on mobile interconnection and Internet of Things.Firstly, this paper analyses some problems faced by the current container industry, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the previous container sharing model. Then it discusses the feasibility of the container sharing model and the container sharing management platform in China from two aspects of development demand and support for development. The standard system for the development of container sharing is also studied.Secondly, this paper studies the business and profit model of container sharing management platform. In the study of business model, this paper defines the main users and main participants of the platform, including tenants, suppliers, container yards and third-party logistics enterprises. Then the functional elements of the platform are analyzed based on user needs. The main functions include capacity trading, information release, container real-time location tracking, information data services, etc. The auxiliary functions include large data centers, container transportation assistance services, financial and insurance services, etc. On this basis, this paper designs the business process of the platform. The basic profit model of the platform is the profit model of most logistics platforms in the market, including the fee of membership, transaction, franchise and advertising. While the value-added profit model includes freight forwarding business, big data information business, etc. Then, the supply-demand matching of container in management platform is studied, and the characteristics of supply-demand matching of platform are analyzed.Based on the characteristics of container sharing,a user evaluation model is constructed by using the new scale method of hierarchical analysis and grey system theory. The matching of supply and demand of the platform is studied by establishing an empty container scheduling model based on user satisfaction. Finally, based on the functional analysis of Shared container, this paper designs the architecture of container management platform based on information communication technology(ICT)and service-oriented architecture(SOA).Through the unified modeling language(UML),the container sharing system and the main modules are modeled, and the business model and functions of the container sharing management platform are demonstrated through the design of functional modules. The container sharing management platform studied in this paper, which based on the actual needs of multiple participants, brings benefits to users and the platform itself. It can improve the turnover rate of containers and plays a role in serving the community. However, since the business model has not started yet, further research is still needed in the specific platform system implementation and operation.
