With the rapid development of the construction industry in China,the number of construction enterprises is gradually increasing,and the competition between enterprises is becoming more and more fierce.To be invincible in the competition,enterprises must increase profits and control costs.At present,China’s cost control level is still in the original rough stage,sometimes causing problems such as cost overruns and schedule lag,which is not conducive to enterprise development.Therefore,scientific and reasonable cost control methods are particularly important.This paper uses the earned value method to study the cost control of construction companies,introduces the second earned value for the problems of the traditional earned value method,and establishes a quality earned value model,and proves the applicability of the improved earned value method through examples.The main conclusions of this study are:(1)Introduce secondary earned value.According to the actual situation of engineering construction in China,the second-level earned value is introduced on the basis of traditional earned value analysis.It is mainly to subdivide the WBS of the project,divide the large work package again,and then make an earned value analysis,then summarize it to the upper level work package and then make the earned value analysis.The second-level earned value method solves the deviation caused by the traditional earned value method that focuses on overall analysis and ignores the internal logical relationship of the project.(2)Establish a quality earned value model.Combined with the previous research conclusions,the Delphi method was used to determine the weight of quality influencing factors,and then the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to obtain the actual quality level AQ of the project,the quality control index Qe was calculated,and finally the quality earned value QBCWP was obtained.The quality earned value model quantifies quality,and establishes a earned value system with cost-schedule-quality as the core,and gives full play to the scientific forecasting and control capabilities of the earned value method.(3)Take the project of a comprehensive teaching experiment building in a university as an example for engineering demonstration.The improved earned value analysis method is used to control the cost of civil engineering during the construction phase.Months are used as the control baseline,real-time monitoring and real-time correction.Finally,the project is completed with satisfactory results.The total cost of civil engineering was saved by 259500 yuan,the schedule was advanced by 158400 yuan,the construction period was advanced by 15 days,and the quality also reached the expected target.Through research,it can be found that the second-level earned value introduced by the improved earned value method and the established quality earned value model have certain practicality and scientificity in engineering construction,and provide a useful reference for cost control in construction projects.
