This paper studies marine soft soil in Lianyungang area,the main goal is to determine the engineering mechanical characteristics of marine soft soil in Lianyungang port area.The main research methods include engineering field test,laboratory test and numerical simulation.The shear wave test and static penetration test were carried out in the field test.The mineral formation and particle composition of marine soft soil were determined by sampling and monitoring of soil during engineering operation.Based on the numerical simulation analysis,the deformation and failure of the foundation under different load conditions are analyzed for the soft soil foundation reinforced by vacuum combined surcharge preloading method.Through the above methods we get the following conclusions.(1)Through the shear wave test,we can find that the whole soil field in the port area is a weak soil field,which can not be built without reinforcement.(2)The main components of marine soft soil in Lianyungang area are Illite,Illite and Montmorillonite,and the particle composition is mainly clay material.the mineral composition and particle distribution of marine soft soil in port area interact with the sedimentary environment of marine soft soil.the marine soft soil in lianyungang area shows the characteristics of high sensitivity,high moisture content,high compressibility and low permeability.(3)In the early stage of vacuum combined surcharge preloading,marine soft soil is compressed rapidly,and the surface settlement rate slows down with the increase of time,and the growth rate of soil strength is proportional to the compression rate.This characteristic is mainly determined by static penetration test.(4)Through the indoor consolidation test,we can find that marine soft soil has high sensitivity,and the compressibility of marine soft soil in natural state is independent of the depth of soil collection,which is contradicted by static penetration test.This is mainly due to the natural state of marine soft soil is fluid-plastic state,soil structure is easily damaged.It is found that the salt content of marine soft soil has a great influence on soil compressibility through the test of remolding soil consolidation.(5)Through the shear test,it can be found that the soil strength is still low after the vacuum combined heaps.(6)It is determined by numerical simulation that the road of port area can bebuilt directly on the reinforced foundation.Such as the direct construction of high-rise buildings,soil damage risk.The paper has 28 pictures,3 tables and 91 references.
