In the foreign and domestic automobile market,the competition between different automobile enterprises is more and more intense,the car's design and development work has brought great challenges,in design should not only guarantee the performance of the car also want to consider the cost of spare parts.Torsion beam rear suspension because of simple structure,small footprint,low cost,good performance,widely used in passenger car.In this paper,based on the actual development models,analysis of the torsion beam rear suspension structure design and research.First beam,trailing arm and spring seat of torsion beam structure such as the main form of classification and introduce,analysis and evaluation of the merits and demerits of various structure,for the structure of the torsion beam rear suspension design pointed out the direction on the performance and cost trade-off.In the torsion beam rear suspension layout of shear center is introduced in the structure and properties of the torsion beam parameters are discussed and analysis,such as shear center of vehicle understeer characteristics,the influence of the suspension after the effects of the roll center height and the lateral Angle of the influence of the stiffness,etc.;Bushing is studied through a single variable point of layout impact on performance;And then studied the spring layout on the analysis of the suspension force and the spring mounting surface and spring end starting position on the performance and the influence of the structure durability.Secondly for the movement of the torsion beam rear suspension model,the motion equation of torsion beam is derived by using the related formula of multi-body dynamics,at the same time,introduced the main manipulation stability performance of the torsion beam such as the wheel alignment parameters,the roll center height,tilt steering coefficient,etc.,and based on euler four element method corresponding calculation method was deduced.Then in the torsion beam structure design,the design of the beam shear center is mainly studied,including open section shear center and the derivation process of the closed section shear center,for the calculation of torsion beam stiffness and strength,this paper adopted according to the constraint conditions of torsion beam restraint torsion of thin-walled bar theory of torsion beam stiffness and strength analysis and calculation,by comparing the results of simulation with the finite element softwarerelatively satisfactory results were obtained.Finally using MATLAB powerful optimization function,optimize the bushing stiffness in all directions and angles to the layout of the bushing,the satisfactory results obtained,for the arrangement of the guide sleeve and design provides important guidance.Through a powerful EXCEL VBA programming function,the torsion beam rear suspension hard point layout,cross section design,performance analysis calculation program written in the EXCEL spreadsheet,such as through a series of macro command implementation intercrossing of the torsion beam rear suspension design window,use rise more convenient and efficient.
