Surface texture technology is an effective means to improve the mechanical seal performance.Domestic and foreign scholars have carried out a lot of research on the performance of different surface textured mechanical seals.However,after a long period of work,the mechanical seal loses its inherent friction reducing effect due to wear and tear or even direct wear and tear.In order to further improve the tribological performance of the sealing end face and prolong its service life,based on the circular hole texture,the paper proposes a mechanically sealed composite textured end face,and carries out a series of theories and tests for its sealing performance and friction characteristics.the study.Firstly,based on the JFO cavitation boundary condition of the lubricating fluid film,the mathematical model of lubrication of the mechanical seal composite texture end face was established,and the pressure distribution of the flat end face,the circular hole texture and the composite texture end face was obtained,and the different rotational speeds were further compared and analyzed.And the change law of the sealing performance,such as the opening force,the friction coefficient and the leakage rate of the flat end face,the circular hole texture and the composite textured end face,the results show that the change of the rotational speed and pressure has a significant effect on the mechanical seal performance.The more the friction reduction effect of the texture is;the greater the pressure,the more the friction reduction effect of the composite texture is gradually weakened.On this basis,the influence of structural parameters on the sealing performance of composite texture was calculated and analyzed,and the structural parameters of the optimal composite texture were obtained.In order to verify the superiority of the composite textured end face,a mechanical seal experimental device was designed and constructed.Based on this,the sealing performance test of the flat end face,the circular hole texture and the composite textured end face mechanical seal under different rotational speeds and pressures was carried out.The variation of the temperature and friction torque of the three sealing end faces shows that the composite texture has a certain degree of friction increasing effect at low rotation speed,but with the increase of the rotating speed,the friction reduction effect of the composite texture is more and more obvious..In the process of increasing pressure,both the sealing end face temperature and the friction torque tend to decrease.In comparison,the composite textured sealing end face always has the best sealing performance.Finally,the operation test of three mechanical seals for 124 hours was carried out.The evolution of the end face morphology of the flat end face,the circular hole texture and the composite textured mechanical seal pair in different wear stages was analyzed.The surface waviness and surface roughness were discussed.Change characteristics.The test results show that after the mechanical seal is operated for 124 hours,the wear of the flat end face pair seal face is the most serious,the round hole texture is the second,and the composite texture paired pair seal face wear degree is the smallest.The influence of the composite texture studied on the mechanical seal performance and the evolution test of the textured mechanical seal morphology have a certain guiding effect on the optimal design and life extension of the mechanical seal end face texture.
