Traditional dwellings in poverty-stricken areas in China are restricted by many factors,such as economy,terrain,resources and environment.The living conditions that traditional dwellings in poverty-stricken areas could provide are generally still remaining in a low standard.During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period,the National Development and Reform Commission organized and implemented the pilot project of poverty alleviation by relocating the people of rural area,aiming at helping relocated households to gradually get rid of poverty by improving the living conditions and adjusting the economic structure.In response to the national policy,Hubei Province,Shiyan City,Zhuxi County launched a large number of test points in the county.However,the new rural residences has highlighted a variety of problems,such as the audacity and threadbare applies shown in the design set way,resulting in the homogeneous state;the external living-environment problem caused by the lack of surrounding infrastructures and cable network,which match the completed main building structure;to place the relocating subject without carefully examining and respecting the local traditional building techniques,and the lack of humanistic care,lead to a large number of vacant houses.Under these circumstances,this thesis takes finishing the modern Rammed Earth Dwellings of Taohua Island in Zhuxi County as the premise,and aims at obtaining a design of modern Rammed Earth Dwellings that fits the techniques and skill level of local architecture by applying the local building techniques and exploring the solution that are capable of reaching the newly appeared demands of local citizens,while regarding the modern Rammed Earth Dwellings as the key issue.Therefore,considering the local situation and combining it with the current progress in related domestic and abroad research,this thesis,in the respect of the design and practice of project of modern Rammed Earth Dwellings in Zhuxi County,Taohua Island,providing arguments and analyzing them from three aspects: design strategies and principles of research,design research and constructive evaluation.In the design strategy and principle of research phase,acquiring the design strategy by analyzing the local politics and economy,natural conditions and local construction technology,productivity and living needs,local resources and typical residential designs.Then,under the guidance of the design strategies and principles,develop the research of construction,including the design of construction plan,the architectural drawing and the construction research.The aforementioned three strokes are essential to the completion of the whole project.They are interlocking with each other and are indispensable.Finally,through the constructive evaluation,it is vital to generally evaluate and discover the pros and cons of the modern compaction technology and figure out the possibility of its realization and sustainable eco-potential from three aspects: estimated performance,weaknesses and reflective analysis.Based on the pectination and summarizing of the design and process of the project of the modern compaction technology in Zhuxi county,Taohua Island,this thesis aims to guide and initiate the locals through the whole cycle of the project,and set the mod-ern compaction technology as a great example of sustainable eco-potential theory to generalize.Moreover,to create suitable the modern Rammed Earth Dwellings and to improve traditional dwellings and local construction technology are also the goals of this thesis. |
