With the advancement of our country’s urbanization process,social and economic construction and material living standards continue to improve,people began to pursue a safe,comfortable and convenient urban environment.As the city’s motorization process continues to accelerate,the city’s walking environment is deteriorating.Streets are containers for everyday life.Street space is the main component of urban walking space,and walking is an important indicator reflecting the walking space of urban space.At present,the study of walkability in China is still in its infancy,and the research on the quantitative measurement of walkability in the street space is rarely carried out.In this context,taking Xi’an Huifang Street space as the research object,based on the comparative study of the existing international walking measurement techniques,based on the basic principles and technical method of Walk Score and Neighborhood Environment Walkability Scale-Abbreviated(NEWS-A),combined with the characteristics of Xi’an Huifang,constructed the walking and measuring technology method system of Xi’an Huifang Streets.Through the quantitative measurement of the walkability of Xi’an Huifang Streets,the law between the built environment of Xi’an Huifang Streets and pedestrian walking activities is explored.This research expects to provide strategies and reference for the renovation of street space.The paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,the second part is the measurement technology and the street feature research,the third part is the system construction,measurement and analysis,and the fourth part is the optimization strategy.In the introduction part: combing the research background;put forward the research problem;defined the research scope and concept;expounded the research purpose and significance;combined with the review of related research at home and abroad,determined the research method and research framework.In the measurement technology and the street feature research: based on the research of walking measurement technology method,the measurement mode combining network measurement and empirical measurement is determined,and Walk Score is selected as the network measurement technology,and NEWS-A is selected as the empirical measurement technology;based on field research,analyze Xi’an Huifang Streets from various aspects;according to the difference in usage,Xi’an Huifang Streets are divided into four categories: tourist type,resident life type,pedestrian passage type and vehicle lane type.The classification of these four types of streets was carried out.In the system construction part: according to the overall situation of Xi’an Huifang and the characteristics of four types of streets,the network measurement technology and the empirical measurement technology are adaptively adjusted,and the walking and measuring technology method system of Xi’an Huifang Streets are constructed;With the method of walkability measurement technology,the walkability of Xi’an Huifang Streets have been measured and analyzed.In the measure analysis and optimization strategy of walking part: for the problems found in the measurement,from the level of Xi’an Huifang area and the level of four types of streets,the corresponding optimization strategies are proposed respectively.In general,based on the study of walking measurement technology and Xi’an Huifang Street,this paper uses the optimized network measurement technology and empirical measurement technology to quantify the walking of Xi’an Huifang Streets.Finally,the optimization strategies of walkability are proposed from several aspects. |
