With the adjustment and upgrading of the global industrial structure and the shortage of incremental land in first and second-tier cities, the connotative growth based on the renewal of stock space has become a new trend in urban development. The old buildings left over during city's developing process are isolated from the surrounding environment, forming faults in the regional space, which limits the overall vitality of the regional space. The upgrading and reuse of old building group has become an important issue to be solved in the process of organic renewal of urban stocks. This paper takes the old building group space as the research subject, lists the old campus and the old factory area as the research carrier, changes the introverted thinking about the old building group renewal commonly used in the past, proposes the concept of space feedback from the perspective of the public and the regional integrated thinking, and explores the spatial interface rebuilding strategies of old building group which helps enhance the vitality of the regional space.Using the method of field survey in Creative Parks in Hangzhou and Chengdu, the paper summarizes the current problem of the old building group. In view of the public's demand for public open space and the park status problem, this paper provides five spatial interface rebuilding strategies of old building group as follow: rebuilding of the street interface, rebuilding of shops on the ground floor, rebuilding of the internal traffic interface, rebuilding of the soft interface and rebuilding of the architectural spatial interface. On the basis of two empirical studies in Hangzhou, the feasibility of spatial interface rebuilding strategies of old building group was demonstrated. This paper constructs spatial interface rebuilding strategies of old building group for future urban construction, providing new concepts and strategy references for similar research.
