Since the first steam turbine generator was set in 1884,the turbine generator technology has undergone several changes.With the improvement of the cooling mode,the capacity of the generator is gradually improved.Therefore,the development of the generator is fundamentally the innovation of the cooling method.It has experienced several important stages such as air cooling,double water internal cooling,water-hydrogenhydrogen cooling and all hydrogen cooling.Specially the appearance of hydrogen as a cooling medium has the cross time significance for the development of steam turbine generators.Hydrogen has a higher heat exchange ratio and lower wind and friction loss,so that the rated output capacity of the generator under unit volume is constantly rising.As a new type of domestic power generation,gas-fired power generation is widely used in coastal and economically developed areas to meet the demand for large changes in its electricity load.Current all the gas turbine generator use hydrogen cooling technology.In this paper,the research on hydrogen leakage monitoring and prevention of hydrogen-cooled gas generators is carried out,and the methods of designing,processing and installing oil seals,monitoring and leakage hydrogen treatment are improved.Firstly,the paper combines a large number of unit installation,operating experience and data to improve the design and selection of oil seal assemblies and their gaskets.Secondly,in combination with the sealing method of the gas generator set,the process plan for the measurement and inspection in the factory is formulated,and the relevant tooling is designed.In addition,the data of field installation is used to formulate the slope sealing degree processing plan to ensure the overall air tightness test of the unit and the safety and reliability of the unit operation process;Finally,combined with the overall air tightness test of multiple power plants and the inspection methods of hydrogen leakage and the problems in actual analysis,and provide calculation methods and processing methods.Through the design of the seal seat optimization in the factory,material selection and the plan to improve the inclination processing program out of the factory,combined with the actual installation results of dozens of this type of unit,the measures above can greatly reduce the motor due to the failure of the oil seal assembly that causes the hydrogen leakage accident.In addition,the analysis of various types of hydrogen leakage in the field,the series of treatments proposed have also been proved to find the hydrogen leakage point quickly and complete the treatment in time.This not only greatly improves the safety,reliability and stability of the unit operation,but also reduces the supply of hydrogen which can bring good economic benefits to the owners.It wins a good reputation for power generation equipment enterprises and establishes a good corporate image in the industry.
