Light small unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)remote sensing is widely used in the fields of military intelligence reconnaissance,natural disaster monitoring and resource assessment,due to high resolution,low cost and flexible operation and so on.It has become a powerful complement to aerial remote sensing and aerospace remote sensing.With the rapid development of computer and communication technology,as well as a variety of light weight,small size,high precision detection of new digital sensors available,light small UAV remote sensing technology is concerned about and researched by more and more people,but there are also some problems to be solved.At present,the research on remote sensing system of light small UAV is not perfect and systematic.The system architecture is different from that of traditional UAV remote sensing system,and the characteristics of the UAV platform and task background are not highlighted.As the UAV platform is limited,short battery life,equipped with a small camera frame and other reasons,flight efficiency of the remote sensing system is low when using of traditional mission planning and route design methods.The remote sensing image of light small UAV has the limitations of low frame size,large geometric deformation and so on,when the series of small-scale images is concatenated into a large-angle image,its accuracy and efficiency are reduced to a certain extent.These problems directly or indirectly affect the development and promotion of remote sensing applications of light small UAV.Based on the characteristics of light small UAV remote sensing system and the background of task,this paper designs and constructs the structure of remote sensing system of light small UAV.On this basis,a route design method based on mission area is proposed,and an improved image matching method is proposed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of UAV aerial image stitching.The main work of the paper is as follows:(1)A remote sensing system for light small UAV is designed.Firstly,the remote sensing system and application requirements of light small UAV are analyzed,then the system architecture and function of the system are studied.On this basis,the system design of the light and small UAV remote sensing system is realized,and its working mode and operation flow are showed.Finally,the feasibility of the system is verified by field experiment.(2)A route design method based on mission area is proposed in this paper.Firstly,the process of remote sensing task planning are clarified,pointing out the importance of route design in mission planning,and the principle of route design is analyzed.At the same time,a method based on mission area route design is proposed and compared with the traditional route design method.The superiority of the algorithm is verified,and finally,a route design strategy to improve flight efficiency is given.(3)An improved PCA-SIFT remote sensing image matching algorithm for UAV is proposed.Firstly,the principle of classical SIFT algorithm is introduced,and the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm are analyzed.On this basis,the PCA-SIFT matching algorithm is proposed,with the projection matrix is constructed in advance.The image transformation matrix is optimized by Random Sample Consensus to realize the fast stitching for UAV remote sensing images.The final experiment verifies the superiority of this method in matching,stitching efficiency and accuracy.
