As the controlled device in wind power control system,wind turbine plays an important role.In the wind power field where horizontal axis wind turbine dominates,vertical axis wind turbine still plays an important role in distributed generation due to the advantages such as low noise,low cost and convenient transportation.However,vertical axis wind turbine can not develop in a large scale because of the lack of a perfect research method for vertical axis wind turbine.And it is immature in the field of theoretical analysis and structural design.It is not easy to start.It also has many disadvantages.Wind energy utilization rate is low,braking difficulties and other defects.To resolve these problems,a new vertical axis wind was designed as the controlled device in wind power control system.And the control strategy can be better applied to the controlled object.The energy conversion efficiency of the wind power control system will increase.First,because vertical axis wind turbines has many defects,a new vertical axis wind turbine with fixed streamline guide plate was designed.It has a three layer laminated lift force type wind turbine.The shortcomings of the traditional vertical axis wind turbines is made up.The aerodynamic performance of the specific NACA symmetrical airfoil is analyzed.The optimum tip speed ratio of the vertical axis wind turbine should be 4.The optimum installation angle of the vertical axis wind turbine is 4.33 degrees under the optimum tip speed ratio.The validity of theoretical research is verified by MATLAB numerical calculation.Then,a coefficient calculation method of wind energy utilization of a straight bladed vertical axis wind turbine was put forward.And the method was known as equivalent solidity method.The static and dynamic characteristics of the blade at 360 degrees on the circumference was analyzed.The torque and power of the leaves under different azimuth angle were also calculated.This method educed that the ideal wind energy utilization ratio of the vertical axis wind turbine is 0.427.On the basis of leaf prime momentum theory,a calculation model of wind energy utilization coefficient of vertical axis wind turbine under natural wind conditions was established.For the analysis of coefficient of wind energy utilization,the consistency of the equivalent solidity method and the calculation model of wind energy utilization are verified by MATLAB simulation.Finally,in order to verify the correctness of the vertical axis wind turbine’s new structure design and aerodynamic performance analysis,an experimental prototype with rated power of 100 W has been made.Compared to the traditional vertical axis wind turbine,the effectiveness of the new structure of wind turbine is verified.For the research of vertical axis wind turbine.The consistency of wind turbine theoretical analysis,MATLAB simulation and model experiment was verified.
