Study On The Form Generation Of Courtyard-building

Courtyard building as one of the most common architectural forms and the most basic architectural space organization,has its unique spatial characteristics,and it's still being widely used in modern architecture after thousands of years of historical evolution.This paper attempts to analyze the types and characteristics of the architectural space organization of courtyard building from the perspective of form generation,and summarizes the corresponding design methods.I hope that through these researches,we can draw some conclusions with general adaptability and reference,providing a positive solution for the design of modern courtyard buildings.Based on the theory of system theory,the paper starts from the perspective of graphic analysis,abstracts courtyard building into a hollow square prototype which based on square geometry,and distinguishes the internal and external factors affecting the architectural form of courtyard building,finally discuss the form generation method of courtyard building from these two perspectives.Firstly,the paper discusses the courtyard buildings' variation from the inside-out based on the autonomy characteristics,and illustrates the variation of the spatial characteristics and volume form of the building itself through case analysis.Secondly,extract the external elements of courtyard buildings,which includes the influence of the external environment and the subjective intention of the designer,study in which way these elements promote the reconstruction of the architectural form from the outside-in,and carry out corresponding graphic analysis according to the specific case.Finally,combine the internal logic and external influences of the form generation of courtyard building,and summarize the adaptable forms in the process of the interaction between above two into chart,provides a concrete and feasible way of thinking and method for the subsequent courtyard building design,which is good for grasping the problem of architectural form.
