Riveting is widely used under certain high temperature,shock or vibration loads,as riveting is not affected by metal types or welding properties,and the stress and deformation of riveted components are smaller than that of welding.Riveting connection performance has been proved in many engine tests and services.In recent years,with the development of aviation industry,higher requirements have been needed for the quality and manufacturing efficiency of cold heading rivets.The representative materials of cold heading rivets for Aeroengine are GH3030,GH3044,etc.On one hand,nickel-based superalloys such as GH3030 have high hardness and are difficult to form the head;on the other hand,these rivets have been manufactured using the processing parameters of the former Soviet Union,and their productivity is not high.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the processing technology of aeroengine rivets.By studing the structure characteristics of aeroengine rivets and analyzing material properties with GH3030 and GH3044 as an example,we determined the heat treatment and surface treatment parameters of materials,and the control of raw material supply state.The cold heading process was simulated by DEFORM software,and the stamping speed and preform shape were optimized.The optimum parameters were verified by orthogonal experiments.Based on the optimization results of cold heading parameters,the cold heading machine tool is selected and checked.The die structure of cold heading is designed,the die ejection and deviation rectification structure are improved,and the calculation method of key dimensions is given.An optical measuring system for rivets was built,and the automatic feeding structure was improved.The rationality and feasibility of the cold heading process and parameters were verified by the test results.The results of cold heading rivet show that the processing technology is suitable for Aeroengine rivet.
