Haptic as a source of human perception of the surroundings has always been a key research object to simulate the realism in the virtual environment.With the continuous progress of science and technology and market demand,tactile technology has experienced a major boost in the field of entertainment and film and television.For example,haptic are used in 4D movies of well-known theme parks and VR commercial somatosensory games.In the introduction of virtual reality technology in the sports field,the public and businesses are increasingly concerned about the audience's experience when they watching sports video.At this stage,however,the experience of the audience is tightly confined to the visual and auditory,there is still little haptic sense that can be realized at the scene.Therefore,based on this background and environment,Dr.Ildar,from the Robotics Laboratory at Queen Mary University of London,proposed a project called " Introducing Haptic Media Channel To Enhance Sports Watching Experience".This project aims to increase the audience's sports experience through the use of tactile information channels to the audience.This paper takes the tactile products as the study,through the practical project of the Robotics Laboratory of Queen Mary University of London,to meet the user's experience needs and to achieve the core value of the product design.In this paper,the tactile tactile hardware system design is the main clues.By analysing the information sources from the basketball game,the project investigates which haptic information from the game is most efficient in enriching viewer's experience and increase the immersiveness to the game.The project includes prototype development(embedded sensing systems and vibrotactile haptic interface)and its evaluation(multi-user ergonomic study),product development and modeling design.The technologies to be used include: vibrotactile actuators,embedded system,multi-media signal processing.
