Among natural disasters,flood is the most common and harmful hydrological phenomenon with high frequency,wide range,fierce force and great destructiveness.Flood not only inundates houses and population,causing a large number of casualties,but also takes away all articles of people's residence,including grain,submerges farmland,destroys crops,leading to a substantial reduction in grain production.As a result,famine will be caused,and floods will damage factories,factories,communication and transportation facilities,thus causing damage to the national economic sector.Therefore,in order to resist floods,minimize disaster losses,effectively protect people's lives and property safety,it is necessary to strengthen the research of flood control engineering design.Laoha river is the first tributary of Xiliao River,and also a representative sediment laden river in the north.It is the boundary river between Liaoning Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.The left embankment of Inner Mongolia in Laoha river reach has been treated for many times.The corresponding inner Mongolia side of this treatment section is Yuanbao mountain area,and the embankment is in good condition.There are many levee free sections in Haladaokou Town section of Laoha River in Liaoning Province,and the levee standards are low,the damage is serious,and the flood control capacity is weak,which seriously restricts the sustainable and healthy development of the coastal economy and society.Therefore,it is necessary to re plan and design the flood control works of Haladaokou Town section of Laoha River in Liaoning Province.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)analyze and summarize the current situation of flood control engineering research at home and abroad,and lay the necessary theoretical foundation for the design and research of sediment laden river engineering.(2)according to the physical geography,hydrometeorology,sediment conditions,rainstorm characteristics and regional geological conditions ofthe harnessing section of haladolkou town of Laoha River in Liaoning Province,the design flood of flood control section is calculated and rechecked by using regional hydrological data,and the flood control standard is determined to be once in 20 years by comprehensively considering the importance of protection objects.(3)for flood control works,embankments,bank revetments and slope revetments are used to retain the flood,including 14.14 km long main stream embankments and 9.06 km long backwater embankments.According to the specifications,combined with the experience of embankment treatment in Liaoning Province,under the condition of satisfying the stability of embankment slope,clay soil is selected to build the embankment,with the slope ratio of upstream to downstream 1:2.0 and the slope ratio of downstream 1:2.0;there are 5 revetment works,with a total length of 3.34km;for the embankment section with strong side erosion to the river,which endangers the embankment slope,double twisted lattice gabion revetment engineering measures are considered,and the top elevation of revetment is protected to 20.0.5m above the annual return water level,with a total length of 2.0KM;8 culvert gates across the embankment are arranged...
